  2. Reagan says:

They can’t just take out the fourth book. It is like they’re taking out the whole series. How will they know what happens in the end?

  3. Meagan says:

They can’t do that! It’s up to the parents to decide what their kids can and can’t read. Just because some weird parent freaks out because of it, why should everyone be punished!?

  4. Lau says:

they cant just take the book off the shelves
it one of my favorite book !!!!

  5. cassy says:

That is dumb they shouldnt beable to do that just because of one complaint by a parent. If the parent dosnt want there kids to read a book they should just tell there kid that they can not read the book not make the school take it off the shelf. that is like punishing all the other kids for no reason.

  6. Ronda says:

There is nothing in Breaking Dawn that is inappropriate for those ages. I have twins that are 13 and have read the book. there are worse things that happen at school that these kids come in contact with everyday! Give me a break!!!!

  7. i love Edward!! says:

wow. “the salt lake tribune” which is in Utah. the ‘mormon” state. Utah suxx. and i live in it! that is so retarded. it’s not even a inapproiate book! its an ahmazing book!

i think it is the most ridiculous thing ever. i have an 11 year old neice and both my sister and i think it is just perfect for young girls. in fact, us adults wish it was e little more racy…

  9. Ashley says:

THATZ messed up! I meen seriously why would they do that!? Peeps will just buy the book!

  10. Lori says:

Being a mother to an 11 yr old, I feel after reading the entire series where the sexual tension has been the entire time, that Breaking Dawn is no more racy or sexual. Never once did Stephanie go into detail, she handled it beautifully! In fact, I personally love how she promoted abstinence and marriage before sex. I feel that the school should place it on the self with the rest of series. By all means, send a letter home to all students parents attending the school in the district that it is available for their student to read. If the parent has a problem then call the library and make the librarian aware that their child cannot check it out! Punishing an entire school for one persons opinion is inappropriate.

  11. ali says:

That is a ridiculous, I agree with you Lori! Stephenie Meyer doesn’t go into detail with anything too inappropriate, and there is so much more to Breaking Dawn than that one part!

  12. Dana says:

    I agree with Lori.

  13. Shelby*Bella says:

They cant do tat its against the law to take 1 book off the shelf its like taking the hole series off the shelf tat is wrong and EVIL they will b punished

They cant do tat its against the law to take 1 book off the shelf its like taking the hole series off the shelf tat is wrong and EVIL they will b punished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. belle says:

That sucks, how could they just do that, i mean might as well get rid of all the books, cuz if your gonna ban 1 why not ban them all
    Thats just plain Mean
I would be pissed as hell if that was our library that would do that

  16. denise says:

whathefudge?? noo, they can’t do that!

that parent is a party pooper!!

this article pisses me off, i swear.

well maybe if you don’t want your child reading those book, they should approve it to you first! don’t blame the whole library about it. plus with stephenie meyer didn’t go into details. & i agree with Lori, even tho there is a sex part of the book it still teaches a valuable lesson! don’t have sex until your married! Also you should trust your child, if she/he is responsible, reliable, and above the influence you have nothing to worry about….well that’s my opinion! YOU TAKE AWAY ONE BOOK, THEN IT SEEMS LIKE YOUR ARE TAKING ALL THE OTHER BOOKS AWAY.

IF YOU DON’T WANT YOUR CHILD TO BE READING THOSE KIND OF BOOK, THEN FINE…BUT PLEASE DON’T INCLUDE EVERY SINGLE PEOPLE.

whoever is that parent is wow, feel bad for you cause now A LOT of people will hate you!!! probably including me. sorry.

  17. omg!!

people react wayy to much these days!!

i mean give it a break will u? i afgree with lori!! nothing in breaking dawn is to sexaul, it sux that every1 in the school must be punished, i mean what a bout all the other kids whos parents think it’s fine for thier child to read the books, or the older children who can decide for themselves!!

i think that parent is gone too far!!
i mean give it a break!!

    xxx

    This is redic.
The fourth book is an amazing book. By far my favourite book of the series. (though the entire series was amazing.)
I found the book was written beautifully. She didn’t go into detail at all, yes it was implied, but whatever. Books can be alot worse, & i think that she handled it VERY well.
I liked the idea about the schools keeping it behind the desk. & they can’t check it out without premission from the parent.
Some parents might not like the context of the book & thats fine, but just because one parent thought they were going to far, doesn’t mean the rest of the students should be held from such an amazing series.
So give it a rest. The books are truely amazing. :)

  19. becky says:

okay yea there is sexual tension and all but nothing is ever explained or at all detailed and they wait till after marriage that is promoting a good thing for kids and students reading these books and they have to face it we learn one way or another so why keep these books away when we will read them anyway and there are different books they could worry about banning that acctualy have sexual content in them compared to this!!!!

  20. Lauren says:

I agree with denise & Lori. Some people just gotta let it go.

  21. twilight luver says:

I think that the parent should deside if their child should read the books. But when you take 1 book out of the series and you will never know what happens and you just ruin the whole series by doing that! I feel very bad for the kid(s) that would not be aloud to read that book. And the kids at that school.

  22. Ell & Liv says:

This is wrong because children want to read the amazing Twilight series. Most children over the age of 10 are loving this book and some have never read it and really do want to.
