I’m going to say that the British Book Awards are not concidered as big of a deal in the literary community as the Newberry, Carnegie and Hugo awards. That said, the catagory Breaking Dawn won… don’t you guys realize how laughable that is?

It wouldn’t be laughable if it had been Twilight, New Moon or Eclipse winning “The Best Childrens Book of the Year”, but it was Breaking Dawn, the one book in the series that is questionable whether it is really acceptable for children to read.

Because the reading matured, just like the HP books did, shouldn’t it have won if it was that good, “The Book of the Year” award?
