No, I’m definitely not a hater. And no, I don’t need to get a life. I LOVE the Twilight saga and I have ever since the first book was released. I just don’t like the people that see the movie then are automatically obsessed with the whole idea of “Edward and Bella” because, really, you have to read the books to know how amazing their characters are. I’m a huge Twilight fan, but I don’t like to flaunt it. I mean, I’m a manager at BlockBuster, okay? You wouldn’t BELIEVE the 30+ year old fans that come in there (yes, even men) and LOVE the series. I’m 21 years old myself.
I just don’t think that, the 12-15 year olds that are into this series REALLY know what’s going on yet. Because, they’ve probably never been in love, or have had their heart broken. So I really suggest that you read the series again when you’re older , so you’ll understand more.
And also, the book is very mature and intelligent on many certain levels. Breaking Dawn was banned from School Libraries, because if you ask me, that is not a book for young teenage eyes. Although, it’s the best book in the series next to Eclipse.
Please, people, I’m not hating. I’m just saying, that, people are way too obsessed with Twilight ever since it has become a movie. Robert Pattinson has been in many indie films, and no one was ever obsessed with him then. Kristen Stewart, also. I loved Robert Pattinson before he got the chance to play the role of E.C. , and he did a very fantastic job playing it. Twilight was a very low-budget film, therefore, I think they did a GREAT job with this film. I saw it the first day it’d come out in theatres, and I was a little disappointed. Because for one, they jumped a little too quickly from scene to scene. Twilight deserved to be a longer movie. And second of all, there were a lot of things in the movie that weren’t in the book, and vice versa. But I have to say, the more I watch the movie, the more I love it. But I still love MY versions of the Cullen family. The people that I’d painted in my own head before this whole movie craze.
I’m very excited for New Moon, and very proud of the cast and their devotion.
And the whole “Why do you have to be eighteen?”, thing, is probably because. 1. You’re traveling to Europe, and 2. It would be sucky and embarrassing to have your parent/guardian with you, now wouldn’t it?
Listen, Twilight Fans, I don’t have too much time on my hands or anything. This is actually my FIRST time posting on a Twilight site. I got a tooth pulled today, so honestly, I have to be indoors and I can’t do anything else. I’m not here to hurt anyone. I’m a Twilight fan myself, so what can I say?
All I really can say, is that, we give the cast SO much attention, and not enough attention to the amazing writer that made all of this possible. Without her, we wouldn’t be dreaming of these glorious (fictional, please take that word seriously) characters, and have such great books to read. Yes, I think that there should be more love and appreciation towards Stephenie Meyer.
SO, Is it all cleared up now? I’m not a hater. I was just a Rob fan YEARS ago, and I just hate that people are in love with him when he only has make-up on and plays a vampire. And the whole craze about the cast smoking cigarettes? And people being “heartbroken” by it? I mean, c’mon, SERIOUSLY! They’re out there, making film to film to film for us, busting their asses to entertain US, but once they put a cigarette in their mouth it’s over? Come on, guys, it’s very overrated and childish. I smoke cigarettes. Whatever. Let them do what they want. They’re making you happy by making the movies you want to see. So let them do whatever makes them happy in their spare time.

Let them have they’re fun without crushing they’re crushes! i agree with what you said, but i think its the wrong place to be posting things like that. They are experiencing hormones for the first time! Of course they’re obsessing. My 12 year old crush happened to be Aaron Carter and every time i looked at him i got butterflies in my stomach
and i loved it. Let these people get excited for Edward the Vampire. I personally think he’s the sexiest vampire ever!!!

Well, maybe you could have mentioned that, instead of making any of these girls feel bad. Most of the girls here ARE 12-18. I think they all know that the Cullens are fictional charecters, and honestly I would make a comment like, “say hi to the Cullens”, because I dont know all of the cast names. Just let them be their age. If they like Rob from the one movie they know him in, let them. I imagined him different when I was reading the book, but he did do a great job.
