Edward and Bella Twilight Barbie Dolls are coming to a store near you. That’s right, even Barbie thinks Edward is hot. Not many details are available yet, but they are slated for a November release and available from Amazon and Entertainment Earth.

Well, I guess there are girls who would like Edward and Bella dolls but why can’t they make the dolls look something like them. These have absolutely no resemblance at all! They look like typical Barbie and Ken dolls.
Bella wasn’t blonde. It doesn’t look like her at all. mmm Maybe they won’e sell…..
Firstly, those are not the dolls of Bella and Edward. If you google, you can find images of the actual dolls designed after them. I have to personally say Bella’s is amazing in the pictures, although unfortunately Edward’s looks slightly scary.

Really?? That’s just horrible! The least they could do is make Edward a bit more pale…and get their hair colors right. BTW: I have read the whole series, and if parents know the type of material in the 4TH (I’m saying 4TH) book, Twilight wouldn’t be much of a hit with the kiddies. Very good book, but definitely NOT PG-13.

I think that this makes Twilight seem like it is for little kids as well. I mean do you know teens that will actually shop for TWILIGHT DOLLS????? I don’t think so!!!! So really this is just a waste of entertainment and time.. Twilight will just end up being the biggest joke in the world.
omg ive been reading twilight even before it was popular and i think this is the worst idea yet. (worse than a prego barbie) the dolls look nothing like the characters..in the movies or the books. i hope nobody in their sane minds will buy this.

um… Barbie isn’t just for kids. there are hundreds of collectible barbie dolls, and this is just another in the line that they hope will become a collector’s item. seriously – Barbie has been a household name for like 50+ yrs – this doesn’t put a bad name on Twilight. the market for collectibles isn’t necessarily kids or teens who read the books – it’s the collectors. the people who buy them and NEVER open the box. they buy them just so they have EVERY Barbie ever made… that’s why Barbie is still around today…

OK first of all Bella and Edward aren’t the only couple in the series, there will probably be dolls for each charecter. Mattel, not Barbie Company, will be marketing these as collector series dolls. Get over it, if you want your twilight posters and teeshirts and everything else don’t be so pout off by Barbies- they’ll be one of the few Twilight items that will go up in their value over time.

ok – these type of Barbie dolls are not for children to play with – these are collector Barbies and some collector Barbies are VERY expensive. These type of dolls, collectors do not even take out of the boxes. Barbie sells many dolls, example the 2009 Star Trek movie also has a set of dolls.

These are collector items. I would buy them for my neice, who has several collectable dolls, and loves the twighlight book series. I was wondering if Edward will sparkle. LOL Doesn’t appear to be the case in those pictures.

Ummmmm I suppose it could be interesting. You need to actually have them looking like the real Edward and Bella though. They can’t both be having the green eyes. I collect Barbies, although not as many as I used to since they’ve gotten so expensive. As long as they resemble Edward and Bella, at 30 dollars I’ll be picking them up. I think everyone needs to calm down and trust Matel. Look at the new Star Trek “Barbies” I think they did a nice job.

These are not the first “Twilight” dolls. check out Robert Tonner’s beautiful Edward and Bella dolls. they are collector dolls not intended for children. Why do people always have to complain about everything? If you don’t like them, simply don’t buy them. sheeesh!

Twilight is big with the “tweens” and doll companies are out to appeal to the tween market. Look at stuff like Bratz and all the tiny removable earrings and mini props that have come with them. You think that was designed with 5 year olds in mind? The princess dolls are what they’re making for kids, Bratz and any doll made to compete with them are meant to get the 9 to 13s buying dolls again.
Personally, my only interesst in these dolls would be to pick up an Edward in a thrift store later and coat him in glitter. For the lulz.

Ok, so, I’ve been sifting through these comments on this site I found after looking for the Twilight Barbie I’ve just discovered, and I’m really thoroughly disgusted. All you people are really doing is bashing a toy. A collector’s item. It’s ridiculous that most of the comments on here are about you not wanting your precious image of twilight “tainted” by having a 5 year old play with the doll. Twilight didn’t ever really have an amazing image either. And who really cares if a small child wants to play with an Edward doll? The movie was aimed at a large audience, not just at “teens” (which most of you probably aren’t anyways.) Barbie is an icon whose been known to make dolls of pop culture phenomenons, so it was only a matter of time before Twilight got it’s own dolls. It’s juvenile to think that Twilight is so “omg teen” that there would never be toys or anything aimed towards a younger audience.
