Buddy TV ‘The Twilight Saga New Moon’ Trailer Analysis

Buddy TV has an article with their analysis of the New Moon Trailer.
Here are the points they think were hit and miss in the trailer:
“Hit: The first 14 seconds are so beautiful. There are no words. The Edward and Bella kiss is great. We all know what she really wanted for her birthday.
Miss: Kristen Stewart is a bit too coy for Bella when asking for this kiss. Not by a lot, but after watching the trailer over and over again I just know I find something off about it.
Hit: The love confession is pure gushy romance perfection.
Hit: Alice’s over-enthusiasm. I really wanted Alice and Bella to develop a deep friendship in New Moon and this looks promising.
Miss: Am I forgetting something? Why does Edward look so upset at the beginning of Bella’s party? Did they just have the “I want to be a vampire like you” fight before this? He looks like he’s going to kill Esme as she hugs Bella.
Hit: Rosalie, however, is supposed to be scowling at the party and Nikki Reed appears to be nailing it.
Miss: After Jasper tries to attack Bella, Rosalie looks concerned. I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t happen.
Hit: The goodbye scene. It’s going to break my heart. I know it. Also, we don’t get any Kristen Stewart freak outs like at the end of Twilight.
Miss: Why, oh why couldn’t they just give me Edward’s Meadow? This scene is taking place in a meadow but it’s definitely not Edward’s. Edward’s meadow would be much prettier.
Hit: Taylor Lautner’s abs. I think a lot of women are reminding themselves that he’s only 17 years old.
Slight Miss: So at first I was really bothered because in the book, the wolf pack saves Bella from Laurent and she doesn’t know it’s Jacob. It adds to the suspense and the eventual reveal. In the trailer, it looks like Jacob phases in front of Bella to save her from Laurent but it’s very clearly two scenes. She’s wearing a brown jacket in one and a blue jacket with her backpack on in the other. I don’t know how the werewolf reveal will work out, but I hope it’s good.
Concern: The CGI is very “Chronicles of Narnia” and I actually didn’t like the CGI for those movies so I’m a bit concerned about the werewolves.”

they nailed exactly what i was thinking the werewolves look too fake…but i still love it

i think they did good on the first trailer & the wolf it doesn’t look computerized that much but my friend & i think the wolf needs to be a little bigger like a bear or something…
overall I L♥VE IT ;]
i think he will grow as it goes along, lets not forget he is the second to the smallest wolf in the pack at first, then he grows throughtout the series, till, in the end he is bigger than sam(a horse size)
I really liked the wolf and all the points they pointed out is greatt!!! i agree with all of them but I just don’t really understand this one?

y not do it at edward’s meadow??? srsly?? do u realize how painful it is to bella that they are breakin up, n do u evn realize how much more painful it will b if they do it in his meadow??? n also, the part when bella comes back 2 edward’s meadow hopin to hear his voice n finds laurent, can u imagine how painful might it b 2 go back there?? where they broke up, wen he left, where the last memory she has of him is..
besides, edward wouldnt leave bella in their meadow, she doenst kno they way back.. they r supposed to do it on a trail about 50 yards away from her haus..

Hmm, that is slightly true, but not so much. I’m sure it’ll be fine.Anybody else think that?
As far as the phasing in front of Bella is two scenes put together. Taylor said in his interview after seeing the clip that the scene with him phasing is the scene in which him and Jared get into a fight. I absolutely love the trailer and November can not get here fast enough!

I think what she meant by the meadow scene was when Laurent was getting ready to attack Bella, not the break-up scene
And Lauren, I totally agree. I think they’ll do well with the wolves
When Laurent and Bella are talking that IS Edwards Meadow.. But what I think they did was they made the meadow look DEAD b/c without Edward EVERYTHING AROUND BELLA IS “DEAD” so they did that for a reason which I think is a good reason– Even though it the book they are in Edwards Meadow..
I really think this movie is going to be FANTASTIC! I just can’t wait to see it!

n th Cullen’s house is not even th same gr8 house th had on th Twilight movie!!!!! some details were left behind!

Omg! I totally agree with the whole meadow thing. I was watching the it and I was like, “Um.. they’re supposed to be in Edward’s meadow, not old hay and dead pine needles.”.
I’m just hoping they fix it before November 20th.
The people who are discussing this movie sound like they don’t even know what is going on in New Moon!! Not you guys on the forum, the two people from the article!!
another miss, kristenstewerts acting when in the begining.
they were in the meadow but it just didnt look the same without edward there, like someone else said.
I like kristen’s acting in the trailer.
Lastly I love the way the wolves look. I just hope they are big as horses, from certain angles in the trailer I couldnt tell if it was or not.

I totally agree with this. I think that in the beginning of the “kiss me scene”, Bella(Kristen) looked disgusted to kiss Edward(Rob). I HATE the way they keep changing Jasper hair. When Edward threw Jasper back, it seemed that no one was really concerned about it. I thought Rosalie needed to be more hateful towards Bella. I hope that the breakup scene is WAY better then that. And I hope that the CGI is WAY better then that. I mean the cheapist CGI I have even seen in a movie like New Moon. I personally think that Summit is not taking these books seriously. My thoughts, alone.
Ok about the slight miss… I think the part with Jacob is probably the part when him an paul fight!!! I’m not 100% sure!!! An the Meadow wtf are they trying to make it all dead b/c Edward left they should not do that!!! Anyway all I know is that I can’t wate untill November!!!
your right when jake phases from sexy human form to snarling wolf form its two different scenes when he phases he’s not attacking laurent he’s going for paul when they fight

I agree. I wish it was in the meadow ( I was like what the heck, this is not the right place and besides Laurant never touches Bella in the book he only talks about killing her and hopefully they tell why he was back in Forks, because of Victoria) And I am 22 reminding myself Taylor (Jacob) is only 17, sweet heavens! Also, I hope that they show the wolves in their wolf form when they kill Laurant. AND besides Bella definitely tries to tell Laurant that Edward and his family sill live in Forks- right or do I need to re-read again?
Lyllyanna, Summit will realize when they get bad reviews that they need to take it more seriously if they are not already doing so.
They will have a bunch of angry fans on their hands.

I agree that the werewolves could have been better in the CGI effects. I also think that the werewolves should have been like underworld and have them stand on two legs and then be able to crouch down.
i loved everything on the trailer! i don’t have to say anything negative! i just hope that in the break up scene they gonna follow the book and the lines “it will be as i’ve never excisted” “you don’t want me” “no”…uh..can’t wait!!

Ok so I personally think that you people have to remember this is the MOVIE & not the BOOK. There are always some differences between the 2. Im not totally convinced that the meadow was supposed to be Edwards meadow. Something I’ll have to read up on again.
The Jake thing. The wolf phasing was not Jake. It was someone else. I cant remember if it was Paul or Jared. But it wasnt Jake phasing. The scene where he stands up & the running scene into phasing are 2 different people. Hence the different Bellas.
If you havent read the book, dont read this part (lol). The reason Bella doesnt look excited about the kiss at the beginning is because if you remember in the book, they just had an argument in the truck. Which is probably why Edward looked so pissed at the party. They argued alot at the beginning of the book.
And yes, Taylors body is remarkable! Im a married 26 year old mom & I have to remind myself that hes only 17! But saying that…..Im Team Edward

Jacob changing into the werewolf scene, is the one, when Paul wants to attack Bella, and Bella and Laurant scene is in the meadow!!!

ok sooo yeah i loved the wolves because it is a HUGE wolf not a “werewolve” in the since that we think werewolves should look. if you have read breaking dawn you would know that they are not werewolves but shape shifters and are only supposed to look like a really big wolf… the trailer was amazing and i to noticed that the 2 scene difference!!! im sooooo excited and cant waite till NOVEMBER!!!!

In this part, Taylor told MTV NEWS that, that scene is completely two different scenes. He said this scene its actually Paul turning into the wolf at the scene.
ya, althought im totally team edward, i ove jake!! and o ya, he looks dang good ! lol,
and ya taylor&jacoblvr, but remeber, he doesnt get that big untill the last book! in new moon, its sam, the leader who is that big! and jake is the second smallest wolf. he grows throughout the series! so TAYLOR will bulk up even more 4 eclipse, and be huge in breking dawn!! YYUUMMMY!

I liked it! But I did find 2 things that I was expecting better.
1. The good buy was to dry. I was expecting a total melt down.
2. The wolf was too much I though it was going to be like a BIG BEAR or something around that area.
The rest I did like.

you just have to remember that when the vampire attack scenes (like jasper at the party) are in super slow motion so everyone else not jumping in right away is probably because the scene they showed us was way too short & it was slow motioned. did that make any sense?

The trailer is just a teaser meaning it’s just bits and pieces of what they have done since they are still filming, so that’s not the whole goodbye scene or anything. I read some people freaking out over the fact that it wasn’t just like the book! I am hoping they do that scene word for word though, it was beautifully written, however much it hurts my heart!
I loved the trailer… it gives me goosebumps! I’m so excited for November!!! Personally, I do think that Kristen isn’t the most amazing actress in the world as far as evolving into her characters. It’s like she’s just herself reading lines, luckily it works with the role of Bella.
Rosalie looks concerned probably cuz member how SHE’S the one MOST concerned about wat she and her family are and rember 4m twilights; ” Rosalie struggles the most with what we are”. I think thats a GOOD thing, it should @ LEAST be given the credit for character!

the part where bella is sayin “Jake run!” is not related to Laurent.Bella is really runnin from Paul in this scene because if u look closely u will see that Bella is wearin a gray sweater and yellow backpack with Laurent, but with Jake it is a brown sweater and no backpack and the wolves may look different in the movie because they had just stopped shootin the day before and just put a wolf there.

i didn’t like the part where he leaves her…in the book he is supposed to look and sound as if it doesn’t bother him one bit…but in the movie…he looks as if he is dying..like he is being tortured..its just not right!!
and i noticed a lot of people upset about the part with Laurent..but as it said..it is very clearly 2 scenes!

it was really good but when she is running from Laurent it is very clear that its to scenes. Bella always looks like she has some sort of blusher on but that’s not that bad. the wolf ! wow it was amazing it maybe needed to be a bit bigger but the cgi was really good i was really worried about that! i hope the rest is as good !!
p.s the teaser bit it is wearing i cnt w8 til the film comes out me and my m8s are all ready planing it !

I would love to see Edwards n Bellas love for eachother. It explains it in so much more detail in the book. The way he holds her waist where ever they go. The way he looks @ her the way they seem to be fighting the urge to touch. I would like to see for of that
