Robert hit by Taxi while running away from crazed fans!!!

While running away from fans Robert Pattinson was struck by a taxi cab in NYC while filming his new movie Remember Me.
Radar Online witnessed the event. This is what they said:
“A team of five security guards were trying to fend off a crowd of teenaged girls when Rob was leaving the bookstore.
It was pouring rain as they tried to hustle him quickly across the busy street to the safety of his trailer.
Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Rob rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had
It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed at the fans: “You see what you did, you almost killed him!”

According to an article on E! A spokesperson for the Summit Entertainment studio states:
“Robert Pattinson is fine. The reports are exaggerated, and the accident was not caused by fans. Production continues.”
This is why I feel so bad for celebrities sometimes. Paparazzi and crazed fans constantly hounding them like they aren’t real people. I understand that when you become a celebrity you must give up some of this freedom of living a normal life to deal with your fame, but come on this is ridiculous! He could have been seriously hurt he was just lucky traffic moves so slow in NYC because it’s so busy and crowded.
I know if I was a celebrity I would be getting sued all the time by paparazzi hounding me, because once I’m in my car you better get out the way or I guarantee you I would be running over your toes.

LOL at CullenFan’s original post. I think you and I are the only ones who thinks Robert looks like a hobo. I’m sure he’s sweet, kind, nice, blah blah blah.
To the other girlies: Just because WE don’t think Robert is a God, doesn’t mean we’re idiots, stupid, jealous or anything else. That’s just silly. We simply have a difference of opinions.
I’m gonna bet that if something happened to Taylor you wouldn’t be so passionate about his accident like you are about Robert’s. And that’s cool; he’s not your fav person/character. Whereas, Taylor (or any other Twilight actor/actress is).
I think we should let everyone voice their opinions. If you don’t agree well then that’s fine. You can’t argue every single issue out in the real world. What a miserable life to live if all you want to do is right or have people agree with only your thoughts. I’m getting tired just thinking about it. lol
