Twilight fan takes the plunge!
The Twilight Examiner has an article talking about a Twilight Fan having to be rescued in La Push.
The Quileute Nation released the following press release:
Says the release, “A Twilight fan visiting Quileute from Georgia was rescued from an island they surmised could be the location where the main character Bella Swan goes cliff diving in the 2nd book of the Twilight saga New Moon.”
The Quileute Nation, however, has spoken up on the matter, stating that while the “Quileute Nation has been very welcoming of all visitors to La Push,” it “does not condone behavior that could result in bodily harm to anyone visiting this beautiful land. We understand the eagerness of fans to seek out every detail that is a part of the story, but please remember this is a work of fiction.”
The fan was saved by the Coast Guard in a full-scale rescue mission.

Wow! I mean we all love the Twilight Saga, but I think this fan may have taken her obsession a little too far. When the Coast Guard has to get involved I think that is the moment you need to take a step back and rethink your decisions some!!

OMG! That’s ridiculous!! This fan is clearly obsessed with the books and perhaps needs some psychiatric help. LOL You have to be in a different frame of mind to actually think that you can go cliff diving off those high cliffs into that choppy water and actually have Jacob save you. Crazy! *tsk, tsk, tsk*

oh, and i know this has nothing to do with but i think it would be cool for you guys to know that i went to a jb comcert two days ago and on the big screen before the concert they were sending in text messages saying stuff like”scream if you love jb” and they sent in one saying”scream for twilight” and the whole areana went loud and wild.haha, i screamed so loud i scared my friend next to me. haha

i think that that was an incredibly stupid thing to do!! bella does it in new moon but they only do it in the movie because she is probably attached to some rope or someting so she doesn’t kill herself. At least she is alive. but just for advice, don’t do anything that they do in the book!! they only do it if they come up with some way to make sure that no-one dies or gets seriously hurt. and i would neva do it!! even though i m in the numer 1 fan of twilight! you could kill your self nd no-one will be there to save you like jacob saved bella. it is like wishing edward would climb through your window, and staying up all night to watch him!!! but he never does so you get no sleep coz he if a fictional character and no-one will be there to pull you out of your misery

I LOVE the Saga too, but I think some people need to realize that Bella didn’t jump off one of those cliffs in La Push. It didn’t happen in real life, it happened on a page (and in our imaginations). And like many have said already she could have died! I guess I don’t see the awe that could be captured by trying to replicate that.
i have to admit that cliff diving is fun, but if the reason that girl jumped off a cliff was to see what it was like for bella then she is obviously mental and has reality mixed up with fiction. i mean i hate to admit this but twilight is’nt real, cringe, it’s a little sad though that she did that
