Chris spills details on New Moon

Chris Weitz did an interview with Hit Fix. He spills the beans on a lot of New Moon details. Check out the entire article here.

Q: Can you tell us about the proposal scene at the end of the book? Fans are worried that it’s either been altered or cut out of the film. Can you address those concerns?
They haven’t been cut out. I can tell you that much. It’s not going to hit them the exact way they think it’s going to, but I will say — how can I put it? It’s going to be quite special. I could have saved all of my gusto for that moment. I don’t think it will disappoint.
Q: Can you talk about the mini-movie ‘Facepunch’ that plays on the three-way date?
Yeah, well, actually nobody is starring in that. The funny thing is I had to come up wit h the name of the movie, within the movie. In the first one I think was named in the book — I think it’s ‘Crossfire’ — or ‘Crosshairs’ or something like that couldn’t be cleared because it had already been used. And you’d be shocked at the number of stupid action movie names that have been turned into movies. So, I eventually turned in a list of ten to Summit’s lawyers and they had to see which ones they could go and clear. “Facepunch” was actually one of two of ten they cleared. And I chose that over “Kill Hunt.” I can actually go and make ‘Kill Hunt’.’ And it was always the joke between me and my brother that there should be a movie called ‘Facepunch’ which is just about people punching each other in the face. It’s kind of a movie within the movie. It’s the least romantic thing Bella can go to because her friend essentially asks her on a date and she wants nothing romantic to happen at all.

I read it, pretty long but informative. the wolves have gotten worked on alot..not done completely tho. cant wait to see the volturi…just cant wait to see New Moon!

I CANNOT WAIT 4 NEW MOON 2 COME OUT!!!!!! ahhhh! so exited!!! i lov lik ALL the cast just because they star in twilight and da rest which makes them the coolset ppl on the entire plannet EVER!!! lol! so 2 me rob, kristen, ashley, jackson, nikki, kellan and peter r da coolest ppl eva!!
( i know dat i disnt include elizibeth as i dont think she is right 4 da part and dont lik her – to ME she is not even pretty. I dont think that Nikki is rigt at all either as she IS pretty but not enough and naturally tanned so doesnt look right yet i put her in my lil list 4 som odd reason!?)
Im so happy about the proposal scene!! That and the vote are the two parts Im most excited about, and of course Jake phasing into the big bad wolf!
I have read New Moon 4 times and every single time, I cry when Edward leaves her. I know I will cry like a fool in the movie!!

IM so glad that breaking dawn is confirmed. I cry in that one to. At the end when she uses her shield to let him read her mind, the tears start flowing!! I hope they make that one a longer movie, there is sooo much that they just cant leave out!!!

well i agree wit “team carlisle” lyk 100%!!! and well i think that may b the movies wuld be better if they had the same director cuz they all have diffrent styles.

OMG i can’t wait for NEW MOON to come out in the cinema. I love NEW MOON its the best. ive read the book 3 times n ive cried every single time when Edward leaves its so sad. Love Rob. TEAM EDWARD and TEAM CULLEN always.
CAN’T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER 20th!!!!!!
P.S. i think catherine hardwicke should have been the director for all the films she had a great way of doin things n setting it up n anyway all directors have a different way of doin things so the films might be protrade differently than from what catherine did in Twilight.
i cant wait to see new moon i havent seen it cuz i thought all the twilight stuff was stupid but i watched twilight and fell in love with it ever since! i love edward!!!!!!!!!!!
