The Daily Telegraph has an article talking about Xavier Samuel getting the role of Riley in Eclipse.

This is what he had to say:

“I’m in a bit of a daze but it’s a wonderful bit of news,” Samuel exclusively told Confidential from Los Angeles last night.

“I managed to catch the film on the way over on the plane,” he said. He admitted he’s not read any of the best-selling books of the series – yet.

“I’m going to start reading the first one tonight.”

everybody is saying how much they think he doesnt fit the role but i think he is perfect he is just what i imagined for riley!!!

I think he’s ugly, but… He is what I pictured of Riley. Of course they’ll dye his hair, making him just right for the role.

He must be a good actor if he hasn’t even read what Riley is about and still got the role!

Well…Iwont judge him until I see his acting skills in Eclipse but physically speaking I do not think he is that cute.Hopefully he is a good actor and will make me fall for him on screen.

I hope he represents Australia well. I think he will suit the part otherwise he wouldn’t have been cast for Riley..

i think he is so cute,and aww he is going 2 start reading the books 2-night..?? how sweet.i wish he would have read them already,but what can we do about that..??

im happy for him! another person people havent heard of for the most part! thats one thing i like about the movies! he’ll do good too
