SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT STARTS PRODUCTION ON
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE
Vancouver, BC – August 18, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that it has commenced principal photography on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE directed by David Slade (30 DAYS OF NIGHT, HARD CANDY) from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will reprise their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. The third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Along with director David Slade, several new actors are joining the TWILIGHT family including Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, Xavier Samuel as Riley, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria, Jack Huston as Royce King, Julia Jones as Leah, BooBoo Stewart as Seth, and Jodelle Ferland as Bree.
Also continuing in the saga as The Cullen Family are Ashley Greene as Alice, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Kellan Lutz as Emmett, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper. Billy Burke also returns as Charlie Swan. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is filming on location in Vancouver, BC.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE brings back members of the Quileute Indian Nation; the classmates of Bella and Edward; and the legendary Volturi, a venerable coven of vampires who weigh and impose the laws of the vampire world. A cast list for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE appears at the end of this document.
In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.
About the TWILIGHT film series
The TWILIGHT film series stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen, a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together…even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires.
The action-packed, modern day vampire love story and blockbuster success TWILIGHT was released in theatres on November 21, 2008. Even though Summit agreed to film Twilight, I really don’t like this company. I’m still really angry that they re-cast Rachelle. Really, really angry :-{ *grrr*

They left out some of the Volturi because only the four they DID name are in Eclipse.
I’m sorry but I was really excited to find out who was going 2 be cast as Leah & Seth. I have to say I’m quite disappointed! I’m sure they are fine actors & this is not against them as people BUT!!! BooBoo he looks like a lil sweetie, but he has 2 be the smallest 15 year old I’ve ever seen. (& isn’t he Asian?) and Julia is almost 30 (& Caucasian) I know we are all brothers & sisters under the skin but I thought Summit was going to stand firm on casting First Nation/Native Americans for the Quiliette roles. That’s just my one & 1/2 cent opinion.Not trying 2 offend anyone, just sayin’.

Julia Jones looks native american and not Caucasian to M3. and when I looked it up for BooBoo, He said: ‘my mom is? japanese, chinese and korean and my dad is scottish and native american’
M3l Black- thanks 4 the update. I looked up Boo 2-saw everything you listed EXCEPT the Native American part. He’s still a lil small. Really, what size wolf will he make? He fights & helps ki…oops-spoiler 4 those who didn’t read the book and Julia is just listed as Caucasian. Well any way- I guess all NA/FN actresses were busy or didn’t really “bring it” during their auditions. I just hope they do a good job. The La Push clan are my favs in the book & I was hoping for good rtepresentation on the big screen. Thanks for letting me rant.

The three Volturi leaders are not even in Eclipse well they are mentioned, Jane and some of the Volturi guard are the only ones physically in the book towards the end. That is why the didn’t recast the leaders, if they make Breaking Dawn then the whole Volturi will be back.
I don’t think pictures do people justice all the time, I went back and looked at recent pictures of Julia Jones and Booboo Stewart and I think they can pull it off. Lets face it everyone is not going to be happy with everything, I remember a recent Rob Pattinson backlash as he was cast as Edward Cullen and now look at the guy.

Hes half native american, Blackfoot Indian from his dad’s side. I just think his asian features are more dominant. & I agree with Shay. Ive seen recent pics of BooBoo and he doesnt look as young as alot of pics that are out there. I found it on youtube: The Official Seth Clearwater by c8lin308. theres facts about him in the box on the side. Hes a cutie and has muscles w/ a six pack
oh and Julia Jones said she her family is “Chickasaw from Northern Mississippi. That’s my dad’s side.” in a Giant magazine interview .not sure if its true, thats just what I found.
I think BooBoo Stewart is a really cute kid. He has that sweet look about him which is how I picture Seth. I need to look up some of his past work to determine if he’ll be a good Seth in the movie though. I guess we SHOULD trust Summit but after the Victoria switch I just don’t know about them anymore.
Were the hell is Ben?! He should be included in Eclipse.
