It was the sadest thing i hav ever read in a book…i think he was really harsh and shouldnt of left that was wrong. I mean im glad they got back 2gether but im sorry if someone broke my heart i would not forgive them that easy!! Personaly f i was bella i would chose Jacob!! What do u guys think u would do??
i think it was better that he told her in person. if he told her on the phone that would have been even more painful than anything in the whole world. thinking that all he could do is call and say goodbye? really???? that is the worst thing a guy could possibly ever do to a girl.

i did get sad, when edward left bella in the woods all by herself and didn`t even take her to her home.
But edward was harsh on bella leaving her.
it was soo sad!! i was really crying!! i think he was too harsh but i was glad when her and jake would hangout and everything. if he just called to break up with her she probably really would have commit suidside.
OK i was dumb and reread the book during the TAKS and i started crying and everyone looked at me and then saw what i was reading and started laughing at me!!!

I think that the breakup was sooo sad! I wanted to just stop reading the book. It was the most heartbreaking think ever! Edward was just a little too harsh because he just left her in the forest and he should have walked her to the house. He should have remembered that no matter what Bella is a ” Danger Magnet”
I THINK THAT A PHONE BREAK UP WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER I THINK EVERY ONE WOULD HAVE KNOWN BELLA WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING CRAZY AND RECKLESS GO WOLVES
I cried sooooooooooo much my cousin had told me what was going to happen but i still cried. Was he harsh no i do not think so and yes he did the right think and he did not take the tickets and other things the were in her bedroom floor she did not know that. Part of me wants to think that she would have moved on and the other part in no way. Then i think about when Alice tells her that she is only one that can save him and she on her feet at once. Even after Bella is told about the danger she is still willing to go if that is not LOVE well what is.
For the other second recap i have a question for you. Are vampires real if you find one ask and you might get your answer.

I HATE that chapter!!I cry every time. OME, I have that shirt she’s wearing. Lol = [ That’s my vampire with fangs face.
Lets see where to begin….hmmmm… yes, i cried and threw my book across my room cuz it was very emotional…I think he did the right thing but then again he didn’t if you think about it he thought that she could have a chance at her human life and he thought she might change her decision on becoming a vamp. And then it wasn’t a good idea because he should had thought about how it would effect her. I think that he wasn’t that harsh on taking the pictures and everything cuz he doesn’t seem like the type of guy that would do that..and even though he said “it would be like i never existed”
I was sad when Edward left. But Edwardis a pain in the butt and I think deep down, I somehow knew that he wasgoing to leave eventually.
Thats why she should’ve went with Jake — because he didn’t leave.
I think that Edward left with good intentions. He never meant to harm Bella in any way. Of course, he knew that it would hurt her(not to mention himself), but he loved her enough to inflict pain on himself, knowing once a vampire changes emotionally, they can’t change back. He didn’t expect Bella to be so depressed. He thought that he, having much more time to figure out what love is, loved Bella infinitely more than she could ever hope to. He thought that it would be a few tears and she’ll get over him, like most normal breakups. I just think he should’ve stayed close to her like a stalker or something because while he was curled up in a ball somewhere, Victoria was hunting Bella to avenge James and she was hanging out with temperamental wolves.
I don’t know if Edward did the right thing, but he thought he was doing the right thing. He is always consumed with this guilt that it is his fault that Bella is getting hurt. He thinks that by going away he is saving her in some way. But she is human so by leaving her without his protection isn’t he making it even more difficult for her to stay alive?
Yes, I think Edward was very harsh but he had to be so that he could leave. He was trying to push Bella away in hopes that it wouldn’t be so hard on her. It got me thinking, how can vampires have emotions if they are dead? Wouldn’t it definitely be harder on Bella since she is a human? To me, it almost seems that Edwards love for Bella is more of an ownership-type thing. But I don’t know. I definitely cried and felt Bella’s pain after Edward left. Every time she would talk about the hole I could feel it. It was a very powerful chapter made more so by all the pages with just the month written on them after it was over. I thought that was a cool concept.
I am not sure how many twilighters have clued in to clevver TV but their chapter breakdowns are pretty cool to watch and they always have some cool twilight tid bits.
I didn’t cry when Edward left Bella. She NEEDS to be dumped. Her life was waaay to dependent on Edward.
sure i will bring a box of tissue with me on nov. 20th it is a very SAD + DEPPRESING part but i love the story and the main 3 casts they are the best!!! i never read the book yet and i will after nov. 20th to surprise myself. well if i’m bella i would cheat myself i would be with jacob bec. jacob truly loves me forget about edward he left me it’s not a true love he has to choose me not his family. got it?
u know wats really weird i COULDNT cry wen i read it – all the times iv read that book iv never cried! im always especially the 1st time WAY way SHOCKED by it and i actually went all numb and lifeless too! i just couldnt belive it!!! the 1st time i read new moon it messed me up pretty good! mum got fussed and wanted to take the book away from me! – that was wen i DID cry my heart out wen jake “broke up” wiv bella it ws just sooo scary and horrible! just as everything gets better her heart gets brocken again!!! its soo f*kin unfair!!!!! *sobs!* and wen i see the movie i KNOW im deffo goin to cry my eyes wen jake breaks her heart and mayb i’ll cry wen edward does lik verybody else! but mayb i wont cry at all? if taylors goin to b SHIRTLESS, in the rain all WET and MOODY! i may be too busy oggling and swooning! lol – im kinda in lov wiv taylor!!

I too cried my eyes out. I feel that Edward was harsh. He was putting his family first. Which is hard in any seniro. I just couldn’t believe he left her b/c he promised he never would. At least he maned up and did it, I feel that a phone break up would be 10xs worse. If I was Bella I would have a hard time trusting him again. But as long as shes happy then all is well and the rest of the books are just as good. Cant wait for the movie….ahhhh…I will also be bringing tissues.

i still cry everytime i read that scene, though i’ve read it like 10 times. bad edward he was so harsh, but he didnt like doing it he was in pain too, and he really paied for this mistake when he found out that bella loves jacob too.
oh well its fair dont u think? if i were bella n edward never came back i would choose to stay with jacob for sure!
IS TILL CRY EVERY TIME I READ THE BOOK BUT IT WAS AN UNSELFISH REASON WHY HE LEFT IT WAS A LITTLE HARSH BUT BELLA WASNT GOING TO LET GO AND EVEN WHEN HE SAYS HE DOSENT WANT HER YOU KNOW THAT HE IS IN PAIN TOO AND I THINK ITS MESSED UP THAT JACOB IS SO MEAN TO EDWARD I MEAN IM SURE IF JACOB WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION HE WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING. TEAM EDWARD!
AND EDWARD WAS NOT PUTTING HIS FAMILY FIRST HE WAS PUTTING BELL FIRST TRYING TO PROTECT HER FROM WHAT HE IS.
i cried too, like ALL OF YOU. haha. i hated the breakup so much, the second time i read it, i skipped all the jacob chapters and went ahead to when they were in italy…haha…it made the book wayyyyyyy better. lol.
oh yeah, im gonna need like, REALLY THICK puffs tissues when i see newmoon. haha. really. i will.
It was the saddest thing to read when Edward left Bella. It was harsh, but Edward had to be or he could never leave her. He felt he was doing what was best for her, however painful it was for him. The way Edward felt about Bella would never change. His main concern was Bella, living in the proximity of vampires was so dangerous for her..it was working out. Even though he left her unprotected, he didn’t realize the danger he left behind. If Edward had stayed, I think the relationship between Bella & Jacob wouldn’t have materialized because Edward would be there to protect Bella. The entire story would have changed…there would be no Volturi, and that is one of the best parts of the story.

i know i cried like crazy the first time i read the book that book was depressing buit i am dying 2 c the movie only 62 days left thou but now im rereading the book and its not as depressing
