The original script had Bella as a track star and the movie concluded with Bella riding a jetski. But Catherine said she would not direct the movie that did not reflect the book. It was Catherine who turned a first-person novel into a third-person movie. It was Catherine who included the fight scene between Edward and James.

It was Catherine who cast Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and everyone else. Because of Catherine, the Twilight franchise now has real faces attached to the story. Its because of her descisions that helped skyrocket the series. She could have cast Paris Hilton as Rosalie, but she didn’t, I don’t think Stephenie would agree to it anyway. But I don’t think people give Catherine enough credit for what she achieved.

If it weren’t for Catherine, there would be no Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner obsessive craze! All the faces you see on this website associated with the Twilight movie, are all attributed to Catherine’s movie direction. And best of all, a WOMAN brought us all this! Look at New Moon and Eclipse, they’re directed by MEN! I wonder if Twilight were directed by a man, if we would’ve had Robert, Taylor, Nikki, Ashley, etc. If the director was someone else, the movie would be completely different! How many guys are going to stand up for Stephenie Meyer against the movie execs when Stephenie says the line “And so the lion fell in love with the lamb” MUST to be in the movie! I think there’s a lot to be grateful for because of Catherine.

I just wanted to highlight Catherine’s achievements as a female director in a field dominated by men, who was inducted into the Guiness Book of World Records for highest grossing film directed by a woman! I think she deserves a standing ovation!
