Robert movie – The Haunted Airman

MTV has an article about a movie Robert Pattinson did called The Haunted Airman. The movie was made 5 years ago and will be available on DVD Tuesday.
Here is a synopsis of the movie:
Flight Lieutenant Jugg (Twilight’s Robert Pattinson), confined to a wheelchair after being wounded in action, arrives at a remote mansion in Wales to recuperate. Suffering from terrible nightmares and visions, he suspects the methods of his psychiatrist, Dr. Hal Burns (Julian Sands). His beautiful aunt, Julia (Rachael Stirling) seems to be the only person he can trust – until circumstances make him doubt even her intentions. Based on the novel “The Haunting of Toby Jugg” by Dennis Wheatley.

Hi it’s caitlin i’m from nz and it was out on dvd like ageeeeeeeees ago ,maybe a few months ago.anyway according to my two twilight fan friends it is really bad so I havent bothered to see it.

Actually its a rather interesting movie. More of like a thriller/mystery movie. Robert Pattinson does good in the movie.
yeah it was out in England ages ago too! i can remember i was going to buy it out of my birthday money which was in March, Hmm..
Maybe its only now coming out in the USA? xxxx
yeah i think its out in the us now it says preorder for the 13th on amazon
according to the article at mtv the movie aired on BBC television in October of 2006 and it’s only 68 minutes long

I would watch it because I like horror/mystery/thriller movies. It would also be interesting to see what level of acting skill Mr. Pattinson had back then. You know this always happens when suddenly an actor who becomes popular because of a runaway hit like the Twilight series has been for him. The movies he became famous just as suddenly become popular because he’s in them.

I saw this movie, I thought it was good. Really haunting, but he plays a great part in it. I can’t wait to buy it. The story is sometimes hard to follow, but it does finally make sense. Kind of creepy, but in a way that makes you try to figure out whats going on in his mind. It makes you fear him, but also feel bad for him.
I just got this yesterday it arrived from amazon with the new moon illustrated guide yipee i must get to watching it

yea i agree with some past posts. this movie can be tricky to follow. rob’s role is something that you wonder what is going on, but yea in the end it somehow makes some sense.
Sounds like a psychological thriller which I happen to love. I’m willing to give it a try.
it’s a pretty good movie. it’s supposed to be kinda scarey i guess but it isn’t.

I have it saved on my list on Netflix. Some of the reviews (from regular people) said Rob’s performance was really good. Apparently there are a lot of spiders involved….
i have seen “how to be” “little ashes” and “the haunted airman” i think that rob is a fantastic actor! the haunted airman takes a little bit of brain power but it is worth it, i think it is a great movie. Also if you are older like 18+ i highly recomend “little ashes” if your into art house type stuff, it was one of the most moving things i have ever seen (i cried like a little baby).
While im on the subject if you have a chance to see “speak” please see it it was also a very emotionally charged movie ut fantastic in its own right, it stars Kristen Stewart…..

completely agree with u, each of robs films have very different storylines and he plays the parts so well, little ashes was amazing, my gay male friend liked it more than me (can you wonder why) rob naked infront of a mirror. haunted airman, bad mothers handbook and how to be are all good “indie” films and i loved him in goblet of fire as well, he has shown his acting skills in some of these far out parts, and kristen in speak WOW that was fantastic a real tear jerker so plays the victim in shock really well her emotions are also at the front of her acting skills and thats what makes her great.
I have seen several clips from this movie and Rob is great in it. Yes, it is very different from his role in Twilight but find a clip on Utube and you might change your mind.
I watched this movie not too long ago on youtube…it was weird but in a good way! He deffinatley can portray any character really well and hes smokin hot in this one! Theres something about a man in uniform…lol

Oh this definitely sounds like my kind of movie. Creepy, haunting, mysterious…The fact that Rob’s in it will make it 100x’s more enjoyable to watch!
I live in Scotland (whoo!!!!) in Europe n THE HAUNTED AIRMAN as been out for ages over here.
Anyway i went and bought it. Its not bad quite dramatic but its gd. Rob potrays the character well.

hmmm. im not sure im gonna buy it. but rob really is a fantabulous actor. i love him.
The Haunted Airman has not been available in the US because BBC had to reformat it in order to be played on our DVD players. (Unless you have a special DVD player that plays both formats, we in the US are unable to watch videos from other countries.) Much like you have to have an adapter to use electrical products, cell phones, etc. in other countries. I liked this movie because I wanted to see Robert Pattinson play in a different role. ariagirl said, “You know this always happens when suddenly an actor who becomes popular because of a runaway hit like the Twilight series has been for him.” She is right. Don’t let our actors get stuck in a bog because we can’t see them as any other character. I’ve been watching movies that Kristin Stewart has played in as well as Robert and the other actors in order to see their acting skills. Step out of the box and see the actors for who they are and how they are able to help take us on different journeys.

I got it at the begining of this year. I haven’t watched it all though cause it was quite boring so I don’t kno how it ends.
