Twilight
New Moon and New Moon Merchandise

This was sent in by Ashley. Here is what she had to say about the poem, “I wrote the poem for a project in my Language Arts class last year, its inspired by the Twilight Vampires.”

Vampires

Vampires are told as horror tales to haunt your dreams.
Are they killed by wooden nails? This may be how it seems.
Nope. That’s just Hollywood art made by sons & nieces.
But really you must rip them apart & burn the pieces.
They do not burn in the sunlight, Nor do they have long sharp teeth.
They sparkle OH SO bright, But are pale white & ice cold underneath.
Turning into bats surely did not last.
Instead they are thee undead that can run extremely fast.
Stronger than the Hulk Though they need no bulk. Can snap or break,
Surely they are not fake.

  3. AussieGirl says:

Oooh i like this one. :)
I like how its about the vampires in general. Not just about one person, like how Bella feels when Edward leaves her in New Moon for example.
I like how it explains how they are different from the normal “sleep in a coffin, burn in the sun” kind of vampire. :)

  8. Cathrine says:

    Oh my god.
Why do you keep posting these awful poems?
Poetry is about more than making sentences rhyme, and this one really sucked.

I love this webpage, but if you keep posting bad “poetry” by fourteen-year-olds I will just simply stop visiting.

  9. lolluv95 says:

um..how do we send you our poetry, bc i think its cwl to have people commment on them and stuff.

  10. ysatis ;] says:

this one is really good :] i think this one
of my favv posts that you have in this site :]

& btw, Cathrine honey get a life.
if you dont wanna come to this website
then dont, were not here to hate on noone
if you simply dont like something then dont say nothing
rude about it. & its mostly 12,13,14 & 15 year olds that
come to this website so get over it, & move on ;D thank you.

  11. Jessica says:

Well first off i want to say that i love this poem. You did a great Job on it Ashley. Second i wanted to say something about what Cathrine said!! Poetry doesnt always have to go by the book.Poetry is whatever the writer wants it to be and what they want it to mean. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not Poetry. And as far as not visting the site just because you dont like someones poetry then why read the poems in the first place??? Once again Ashley i think you did a fantastic job on the poem..It must have taken alot of thought to put the words together the way you did..GOOD JOB!!!!

  12. Lily says:

Hollywood didn’t make “vampires” the blood sucking creatures. I suggest more research to be done into “vampirism”.

  13. Anne^^. says:

    LUV IT! :)
~”vampires are family, not scary” :) ..Team Cullen! ~

  14. Leandra says:

To those who don’t like the poems you don’t i have to read them. I love the poems and when i was a teenager, lordy so long ago lol, i wrote poetry all the time so i love reading other peoples work.

I think the poems are great and on days when there is like no twilight news, usually on weekends when i make post with poems and cakes and fan art and videos it is so people will still have something new and enjoyable to read when they come to the site instead of posting nothing.

I think it is amazing to see peoples talents and creativity and for the few who dont enjoy it there are many more who do. So that’s why I post them.

And to those who are negative, if people didn’t like these posts why do I have dozens of fanmade poems, art, videos and cakes sitting in folders waiting to be published.

I love this stuff and it is my site so I’m pretty sure I can post what I like. I always post news on the movie and cast, but you know there is only so much of that out there.

I Try to make this site diverse and fun for everyone. I hope I’m doing that.

  15. Careli says:

this was very nice, ashley!!!!!! u seem 2 be poetic =)

  16. Sarah says:

    thats was really cool

  17. ana gabriella says:

I am from Nicaragua, my name is gabriella and loved the movie I’m a fan of twilight and look forward to the new moon

  18. AussieGirl says:

Firstly. Leandra; thankyou so much for making this site what it is today. If we didnt have you, we wouldn’t have the expert knowledge about all things Twilight and that would just be depressing! So thank you for posting, poems, cakes, polls, ect because i find it very interesting to see everyone’s creativity and imagination!!

Secondly. Cathrine; how dare you say that people’s creativity is awful and bad?!
Everyone works very hard to write them poems and you just dismiss them like they don’t even matter? You must have very low self-esteem and low confidence to pick on other people like that.
If you do not like the poems and don’t like seeing them on this site, then simply do not visit it anymore.
Leandra works very hard to make TwilightGuide interesting and fun for everyone and i think she is doing a awesome job!
No one wants to see negativity towards peoples work and art, so be nice and say something positive towards what they do!

  19. (:Ashley:) says:

    Hey guyss:)
    Its ashley(i wrote this poem).
    Thank you guys so much.
Im glad you like it, and i WILL keep writing poems.

    To Catherine:
Yes, i am a 14 year old girl! I am proud of how i write and what i write:) You must be a very dull boring person if you apparently dont like anything. Personally, i think you are just Jealous!!

P.S. Once again thank you guys so much. love the website(:

  20. Cold One says:

Yeah! I luv the poem. i luv twilight. and i agree with you that Hollywood made vampires look like scary, wierd, piece of crap. i hate it how the old vampire movies made them look.
it doesn’t make sense anyway. if a vampire’s pray is a human, then aren’t they supposed to look good to attract humans? and an other thing, who would walk around with huge knife teeth? they would cut their lips off. Twilight makes more vampire sense. Am i right?
Anyway, once again, LOVE the poem. its great, keep writing:)
