You said everyone’s been asking you about the pressures of taking on such a successful franchise, and they also want to know why vampires are so popular.
Honestly, there weren’t really any pressures for me because there was a guaranteed audience which meant that even if I made a terrible movie people would still watch it. So once you got that reassurance [laughs], you just set out to make the best movie possible, which is what we aimed to do. And I’ve felt nothing but support from the fans since day one — actually day one there was a little doubt because I have a Y chromosome, but ever since then I’ve felt a lot of love from the fans.
And why vampires?
I’ve actually realized that Stephenie Meyer’s vampires aren’t really vampires — you really don’t see many crosses, there’s not much garlic, they don’t sleep in coffins, they can go out in the day time — they just look more beautiful. It’s just more like Greek gods. So, in some ways it’s about this girl who falls in love with this demi-god. I think that symbolizes your first love — the person you’ve fallen for who you think will never never possibly return your affections.

Iunno if I like him… They are vampires.. not semi gods thats hole point of the series…
And as for the movie i loved it but I really do think they rushed into scenes…

Chris…. Ty for such an amazing, great, movie….. U stayed to the key importants parts from the book…. If not all of it….. We loved New Moon….. It made me cry, smile, and be mad at Bella for breaking my luttle Jake’s heart……. Love ya Chris !!!!!
movie was amaizing ! things I really love :
1) wolves ! – yeah, I’m team Edward, but they were unbelievable
2) Kristen – she made such a great job at playing Bella,( I didn’t like the break-up scene, though.)
3) glittering ! – yeah, baby ! milion times better than in Twilight, I swear.
4) fight in Volterra – well, it’s not the part of book ( i have to admit that I’m kind of Twi-hard who’s rather reading books than buying merchandise and watching movies ), but anyway, I like it. all fight scenes are better than in Twilight.
5) sweet reuninon in Volterra – it was a different than it should be, but sweet anyway. In book she thought that it’s a guilt and pity. here in movie everything was so obvious.
there was a lot of things I didn’ like. But it’s the movie, it won’t ever be as good as book itself.
however, I have one thing to say : Go and see it ! It’s worth your money
