First comment!
everybody is talking about haow bad new moon soundtrack was, and it got an Oscar nomination…lol
sorry, shortlist
Ha! Well, IMO the Academy is more interested in being politically correct nowadays that actually nominating the best and most talented. It has been years since I have enjoyed Oscar winning movies….
I thought the soundtrack was awesome… Much more grown up than the first one; more solemn and reflective – which fitted the film perfectly.
And the song ‘Possibility’ definitly deserves to be on the short list!
Lilly xx
I just saw the film for a third time and the musical score is growing on me but not the soundtrack. It is not that I don’t like slow/mellow music or even more ‘depressing’ music. I mean I listened to Depeche Mode in HS (ha!ha!) and you older fans like me will know who they are. But a lot of the songs (not all) sounded a like.
You wear guilt
Like shackles on your feet
Like a halo in reverse
I can feel
The discomfort in your seat
And in your head it’s worse
There’s a pain
A famine in your heart
An aching to be free
Can’t you see
All love’s luxuries
Are here for you and me
And when our worlds
They fall apart
When the walls come tumbling in
Though we may deserve it
It will be worth it
Bring your chains
Your lips of tragedy
And fall into my arms
That’s awesome!! This was great song and perfect for the movie!
btw, what’s the “short list”??
