Wyck Godfrey, the producer of all the films in the “Twilight” saga, admits that the creative team still doesn’t know how they’ll handle the character in the “Breaking Dawn” movie, but said that the plan is absolutely for the production to go forward — as either one or two installments — with an eye toward beginning to shoot in Vancouver this fall. All three stars are signed for “Breaking Dawn,” he said, meaning that Stewart and Pattinson will be dealing with the joys and woes of interspecies parenting and newly minted heartthrob Taylor Lautner will return as often-shirtless shape-shifter Jacob Black.
At the moment, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who’s penned all the “Twilight” movies, is working on the “Breaking Dawn” script(s). “It’s a work in process,” Godfrey said in an interview Friday. “The issue [of whether there will be one or two movies] is not going to be resolved until we get the full treatment and see whether it’s organic. If it’s not organic, I don’t think it will be done, and if it is, it will be. It really has to do with how much level of detail from the books there is, with all of these new vampires that appear in ‘Breaking Dawn,’ the whole section about Jacob… It’s a very long single movie if it does become a single movie.”

I dont see what the hold up is. If they can turn a man into a wolf, then im sure they can CG a rapid growing child. I think they are pausing just so they have the fans on edge about it. Makes for a bigger impact. Not saying it will be easy but its very possible

Yea ! Finally some news on the greatest book i’ve ever read ! They should just make one big long movie nd then do CGI on Renesmee to make her look like shes growing rapidly ! It’s not that hard people ! Then they just hire people to play the extra vamps.
I hope they make two movies out of it! They should have the first two section’s (Bella’s and Jacobs stories) in the first film then maybe a couple months or so later, release the second film which would contain the second story of Bella’s when she becomes a Vampire. I think It would work, there’s alot of stuff to work with.

I think they should make one really long movie. People have made 3hour movies before, why not now. I would rather them make a 3-4hour movie. I would sit through it. I did for titanic i would for Breaking Dawn. I cant wait either way.

breaking dawn was my favorite book in the entire series (followed closely by twilight) of course i cant wait for it!!!!!
I dont see how it would be possible for it to only be one movie!!! There is so much info in this book that the fans want to see, i dont see any other way around it than to make it 2 parts!!!
Besides it will make all this last longer i dont ever want twilight saga to end!! I don’t know what i will do with myself when its all said and done…it would be like the end of the world…LOL, not really, but you know what i meen
I was so happy to read something about the progress of Breaking Dawn! Eclipse is my fav. book with Breaking Dawn a close second. I think for everything to be in BD they need to make it 2 movies. I hate Chris W. is probably not going to direct. He did an awesome job on New Moon!
I’m so glad they’re finally starting! I really would like to see the book be made into 2 movies! There’s just too much to make it into one film! BD is my favorite after Twilight!
I hope they make either a reaaally long movie out of Breaking Dawn (like 4 hours!), or two “2-hour”-movies. Cause I want it to be perfect.. I love that book. hope they don’t miss something real important.

I totally agree Leandra! Eclipse isn’t out but I want Breaking Dawn! They SHOULD make it into two movies because then we won’t be bored when just one Breaking Dawn movie is over! Then HOPEFULLY, Midnight Sun will be realeased!!!
Yes yes yes yes! I’m so happy right now. Though i have a feeling it’s going to be put into 2 movies. Have you SEEN the book? It’s BIG! What is it like 700 pages!? Though if they put it into 2 movies they will make a lot of $$$. Oh well at least it’s being made Yay:D
i really think that it should be 2 movies because they will lose details if they try makin it to fit into just one.i kno that all the hardcore fans would LOVE to sit n see a 6hr film but for all of the newbies it may be off puttin.it makes sence to hav one film about bella & edward’s weddin and the struggle over renesmee and the other after she is born, bella is turned n the fight to protect her.i will be disapponted if the squash it into one

Breakng Dawn is my fave book of all the saga books and it has to be as a movie too, i don’t care does it has one or two part. And i really hope all the actors/actresses will be same!

You have to remember that they have to make Bella even more beautiful than she already is and the whole voice thing too. I really think they should do two movies. Then it could give us something to look forward to and the whole twilight phenomenon wouldn’t end as quickly. I personally don’t want it to end.
