An Article at the EW says that Summit Entertainment has replaced the editor on the Eclipse Movie.

Below is what they had to say:

Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the uber-successful Twilight series, confirmed this morning that it has replaced Eclipse editor Art Jones with Nancy Richardson, the editor of Catherine Hardwicke’s original Twilight film. The studio is not placing blame on Jones, who previously worked with Eclipse director David Slade on his horror film 30 Days of Night as well as Slade’s Ellen Page-starrer Hard Candy. They do believe, however, that Slade’s material – which they call “very good” – needed a stronger edit. The studio has more confidence in Richardson, who they say understands the emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film.

The first movie wasn’t the best no offence but I did love New Moon it had som much and it was so similar as the book.
I can’t wait to see how it comes out. I hope i don’t get dissapointed because twilight is something i love and if they kill it, it will kill my obsession!

It is always scary when they start changing the technical people on films, it means they ended up with something they were not happy with. However, since David Slade is so good with action and horror, maybe they just wanted to make sure there was enough of the twilight essence in the film, the connection with Edward, Bella and the Cullens to the people who know and love the stories. One thing they don’t want to do is lose their fan base! I can’t wait to see it, although I liked Twilight, I thought New Moon was so much better. Amazing what a bigger budget can do. Anyway, hope it is even better than New Moon.

when you can see a boom shadow in the reflection of a car door’s window i think the editor fell alseep. the editing of 30 days of night was exemplery summit has issues…

I don’t care is they change the entire staff as long is for the movie best interest but I really don’t see how the person that edited Twilight is gonna do a better job considering how that one turned out to be

I just dont want to see my favorite book of the series sloppily smish smashed together like ‘twilight’was. That movie was so fast paced it seemed to be over before it began. The gradual falling in love between the characters was totally lost in translation. Now I dont know if it was the directors fault, the screenwriters fault, or the editors fault. Maybe a combination of all three.
