So as you all I know Jamey and I went and saw A Nightmare on Elm Street Yesterday.

I’ve done this before so I’ll do it again and give you a little review on what I thought.
Click the READ MORE button below to see what I have to say.
Caution Spoilers!!!!

This is for you Affy, you asked for it in the comments!!!!

Ok, first off this movie, like all Freddy Movies, not for the faint of heart. If horror movies scare the living daylights out of you, you might want to skip this flick. I jumped like 4 times during the movie and I am a Horror Queen vet, I own at least 500 horror flicks. I hate it when I jump and scream like a little girl during a flick especially when I know it’s coming. You know their playing that scaring music, they walk to the window (I’m sitting there like so who is gonna pop up in front of the window) and AAAHHHHHH!!! I’m so pathetic sometimes , lol!!

Second off, if your going to check out this movie just because Kellan Lutz is in it you may want to save some money and wait for video, because unfortunately Kellan Lutz role, though he did a great job, is short lived and played out in the beginning of the movie. (I warned you of spoilers!!!)

OK, so if you like a good slasher flick that makes you jump you will like this movie. Also if this is your first introduction into the fantastically dark world of the Horror Icon known as Freddy Krueger you won’t be disappointed.

If you are already a fan of Freddy though you may be like I was. Watching the movie saying, Why couldn’t Robert Englund had played Freddy in the Remake? The new Freddy, Played by Jackie Earle Haley, is decidedly creepy, but the voice is all wrong!!! If you have been a fan for a while, and I have since the beginning, half of what Freddy is, is his voice when he delivers his inappropriate one liners!!!! The new Freddy looks great and grotesque though.

This movie is not for a younger audience either. Mature content, violence and sexual situations in the flick!!

Overall I give it 4 out of 5 in the star department.

it was good. i didn’t go see it just to see him though…but i did like his death scene =) it wasn’t as great as the original of course…but it was one of the greatest remakes i’ve seen in a long time =) and even though kellan was all sleep deprived looking…he was still a hottie ;)

  8. Essie Lissette says:

omg i luv horror films but sometimes i laugh at the gore that makes other people scared…im weird…but anyways i went to see this movie the day it came out and it was packed….and during the movie there was this baby that kept crying…im thinking to myself, who would bring a baby to a scary movie really i just wanted to yell at the mother but i kept it cool…everyone else was yelling at her for me so i didnt have too…but other than that the movie was great i liked the ending *Caution Spoiler!!* when the mother put down her keys and when she come back up theres a mirror behind her and instead a the mother reflection it was fredDys reflection and he killed the mother…i still have that theme song stuck in my head.

  12. If.So.Girl says:

I went to see the movie last night and expected it to be a big disappointment but I actually thought it was really good. I jumped all throughout the movie. The only thing i would have changed was Freddy’s face I think he looked more like an alien then a badly burned man. Other then that his mannerisms, short lines, and his voice were very well done. I recommend the movie to any horror movie fans.

  13. ginny says:

I have to agree- JEH’s voice was all wrong for the part. And I dont know if anyone else thought this-but the actors looked to old to play teenagers.
    Although Kellan looked HOT………
The movie was good scary fun- and our audience was all about participation so that was cool …………….

    • me.... says:

yeah, they did look too old to be in high school. and he obviously wasn’t better than robert englund…but with this being a remake…they aren’t going to use the same actors so i think he did him more justice than anyone else i can think of.

  14. zues says:

I saw that movie and i thought it was stupid and kellan looked like he was high and this was the first one i saw and i didnt jumped AT ALL!!

  15. Arianna says:

I’m not a fan of horror movies, and the one who specially scare the heck out of me is Freddy, so no. not even for kellan

  16. NayNay918 says:

i had a feeling dat Kellan waz gonna die…i knew it from tha beginning…but i still wanna see it though

  17. Bernadette says:

Went to see to last night . and It SUCK big time ..

  18. Shana says:

I haven’t seen it yet but I wanted to read this even though you had spoilers. Well 1 spoiler. I love Freddy and in the trailers yea I was a bit disappointed even though I haven’t seen it yet, because the voice was all wrong.. to deep. Freddy is suppose to sound creepy and scary but this movie made it seem like he was a human that was a stalker or something… hes not!! hes a MONSTER!! well he was a human but technically not anymore since he died and now hes back from the dead and has been back for awhile so I don’t think he should have a deep voice… just saying. anyway that’s what I think… I totally can’t wait to see it!!!!

  19. Patty says:

Sounds sick. I’m gonna have to check it out sometime! Then I’ll be afraid to fall asleep… haha

  20. nat says:

OMG i absolutely loved it! ur not the only one who jumped it was SCARY i love freddy kruegar and i totally agree his voice wasnt right!

  21. Ayleen Cullen says:

The people u less expect to live in this film will die, and the one you expect to die will live!
    Wierd huh?
it was great 8/10 and the new Kruger kinda suck. . .

  22. jennifer says:

yes! great review i saw it yesterday and sadly kellan is barley in it cause you knw (spoiler) but he did in awesome job and it made me jump ALOT! lol

  23. Chillax.Jasper says:

    I love the original freddy!
