Why a year between the Breaking Dawn Movies?

I think they have to wait so long between the first half and the second half because of the technology involved to create Reneesme and they probably want to make as much money on the movies as possible. This way they can re-release the first half prior to the second half being released for the fans to be refreshed on what happened in the movie before the finale.
thank u! i have been reading alot of different comments about this and everyone seems to forget renesmee! u r the only person who has thought of it so far! i aggree summits greedy, and making a bad move if they want more money. i agree that summer is prob still the best bet because fickle teens loose interetst (altho im 26 and will never lose interest:) but i know that summit knows how much is riding on renesmee and her looks/actions. she is a rare breed, and close to imposible to pull off. so i thkink it is smart on there part to take as much time with her as possible. when it comes down to it, id rather wait and have a belivable renesmee than see it sooner and get taken out of the fantiscy of it because renesmee sucks. and tho summit will surly lose money from fickle ppl by waithing so long, the true fans will b more satisfied with the film if they pull off renesmee.
ooh come on!! it’s all about money, isn’t it? how stupid!!! eclipse is still in theatres, at least in europe, so they can’t compare with new moon!! and the figures are that different..
besides, new moon wasn’t such a great movie (sorry guys, i love the movies, but new moon WAS a disappointment!!) and maybe people thought that eclipse isn’t as good as twilight either.. i don’t know..
it’s stupid that they let us wait just because of money!! it’s always because of money… -.-
and i think if they release BD 1 in winter 2011, they can release BD 2 in summer 2012, because: who won’t see the second part in theatres if he saw the first part in theatres?! besides: every twi-hard fan is going to see it in cinema, right??

I think the movies are so far apart, not because of the profits (If I had as much money as Stephenie does, I wouldn’t need anymore!) but because when you go to theaters to watch the movie, they are probably going to show all 4 in a row. Twilight- It’s on DVD
New Moon- It’s on DVD
Eclipse- Should be by then!

It should be, because if they don’t want to lose fans, one of the best ways is to realease the DVD in June or July. Their will be realease party’s at Hot Topic, Wal-Mart. It will help teens and adults not lose interest.

i dont really dont like this but what can we do? we gotta wait just like we did for new moon! i know it sucks….i wish i could be sooner like harry potter comes out november this yr and the second part comes out next yr in july! but thats just harry potter i really dont care. idk its what they chosed to do and all we can do is wait and hope it goes by quick as we want it to! i hope they make it unbelievably amazing if were gana have to wait a yr for the finish lol! i cant wait to see it. its the one thing im looking forward to

All I’ve been hearing is that it’s going to be as close to the book as possible. She has said that they aren’t shying away from the sex or the birth… so I don’t know what you’ve heard!

It will have more special effects thus is will be long and post production will take ages that’s the answer they want to get it right.
I think first reason why there’s year apart from 2 BD movies is money, second may be Renessmee and the third is that maybe they want to make us even more greedy about going to the cinema to see second BD movies, maybe that’s they way to make sure that even the last movie will be popular.
But that’s my opinion, but still there should be way shorter break from BD movies.
i think they should have both parts together becasue i dont want to wait a whole year to see part 2.
ok i get why they have to split breaking dawn into 2 movies…because theres a lot of amazing, sexy, heartstoping moments duhh!! but seriously what are they gonna call the movie “Breaking Dawn Part 1″ and “Breaking Dawn Part 2″ lol i just find that funny since breaking dawn is the fourth installment lol “twilight part 4 breaking dawn part 1″ ahaha too funny
I think it is gonna be done this way so that the Twilight franchise can last a little longer. I mean, if you have both movies in one year then they can’t really do many events and imagen how tired the actors will be by the end of it. I mean two premires in different countries! Interviews here and there, publizing the movies, and all the other crap that cames along with it. I bet they are tired at the end of the year after just makeing one movie. Imagen how much more tiring it will be with two.
when did Twilight become about the $$$ & not the fans?!? This a bunch of bull! They’re filmed together so 6 mos apart is reasonable. I read these articles & was sick. Eclipse didn’t make enough??? Whatever. The Saga will lose fans over this. Greed is an ugly thing. I NEVER thought I would see it evolve out of Twilight. The only reason why HP survived the lengthy time between releases is there were still books coming. Twilight doesn’t have that. This is a HUGE screw up for Summit & the franchise. They will end up losing the $$$ they hope to gain out of this decision.
why do we have to wait a whole year,a month is a long wait.I understand that but not a year..I could sit though a three hour movie and wait a month.this sucks.they should go back too the way it was.that is just me.

i don’t think it matters how much time apart the movies are going to be i totally understand why its going to take that much time i mean i rather go though two movies that are three hours longs and are good instead of going through a suckky movie. Its not like it take 6 months to make a good movie so i thinks a year of difference is fine!
Okay really a year between the two movies is not going to make any sense. First of all if they are filming both parts now and they wait a year to release part 2 doesnt that increase the risk of part 2 being leaked? Think about it. Part 2 has been filmed but is just sitting in a corner somewhere. If it is leaked it totally ruins the hype and would even lower the profits drastically! If part 1 is coming out nov 2011 then part 2 should come out june 2012 or even july but not a whole freaking year after!! Maybe some of you guys didnt see the interview where Emma Watson( ‘Harry Potter’ star) bashed the twilight films saying they are not appropriate for all ages like Harry Potter or whatever not only was it un-professional bashing another film like that (and lets not forget that Robert Pattinson was a former cast member on Harry Potter)but it really annoyed me the way Harry Potter fans think they are so superior. I want Breaking Dawn to make a LOT of money and prove that the Twilight Saga is better. Sorry for the long speech guys. I just really love twilight. This Has Annoyed me because have they not already finished filming a year break it far to long why not do what harry potter has done there break is long but not so long that it stupid like breaking dawn to me the break should be 6 months atleast not 12 i mean it will make breaking dawn pt 1 i think really boring cause all there will be the wedding honeymoon and they end with im pregnant or something and leave all the action to the second one which a whole year away hello BIG MISTAKE!!!
it bites big time, i have decided i am not going to watch the first part until the second releases because it would just make me mad when i cant finish watching what i know is coming after the part they stop part 1 at, thats the best solution for my preference, if i need a fix then i will just the read the book and then get mad at how much they will change and leave out of the movies, like always.
