Moviefone sat down with Laura from Twilight Lexicon and Andrew from Mugglenet and they talk the great Twilight/Harry Potter book/movie debate. (Laura won the debate!!!)
I am a huge fan of Harry Potter too (going to see the movie tomorrow YEAH, haven’t missed one in the theaters yet!!!) I have not read the Harry Potter books though because I saw the first two movies before reading the books and decided to wait till after seeing all the movies to read the books.
Anyone else a Harry Potter Fan?

Yah I was binning of seeing it Sunday but I ended up seeing it Friday night. It was really good! I’m a hige Harry potter fan(I’m an even bigger twilight fan though) so seeing it was a must. I wasn’t disappointed. There wasn’t a huge swarm of ppl in line at the movie theatre I went to.

I will not be going to see Harry Potter this week ’cause I am not a fan of the Harry Potter books or movies!(but I am happy that there are fans out there and I’m sorry to you that Harry Potter lost!)

AHHH! Both sides argued so well but i do have to say the Twilight pulled ahead.
I will be there tonight for the midnight release! im so excited! Haven’t missed a midnight viewing yet! Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I tried reading Harry potter books and i couldn’t tried watching movies and i found them boring I only liked Cedric *Wink, wink*
i like harry potter. its what i remember reading when i was younger. however, i love twilight. i was able to get thru all the books without having to stop at a certain point then pick back up later.
with harry potter i would start reading them then stop for a while then either reread it or go on sparknotes to see what i needed to be reminded on.
I’m a HUGE HUGE fan of Twilight the movies and the books are GREAT. I like Harry Potter but Twilight is more exciting to me.

I don’t think harry potter is anyhere near as good.
Harry Potter seems to have lasted forever and it feels like just a long never ending thing, i think that might be becasue teh films are so spread out.

OMG. Those who want to watch twilight they´ll watch twilight and those who want to watch potter they´ll watch Potter. Why we all need to fight any time. Nowadays everubody wants to be better than others. Thats so grazy.
Saw hp on Monday. I don’t know how, hp fans will handle the wait. But imagine us with breaking dawn!!!

I love both of them equally. Own the books, movies (pre-ordering eclipse two-disc special edition sometime next week), all the soundtracks, & the merchandise of the twilight saga. I only own all the books & all the movies of Harry Potter. I have been a fan of Harry Potter since 2005. Didn’t like it beforehand until I read the first book doing my senior year of high school when we had 15 minutes of silent reading. I was 19 going on 20 at the time. I am now 25. For twilight, I just got into it last year. Never knew that it was a series of novels until I saw in the credits that it was made from a book. Been a overly obsessed fan since. TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!!!!

Harry Potter definitly should have won… hands down Harry Potter is WAY better… such a unique story.
Harry Potter and Twilight should both be treateed equaly. Twilight is just as good as Harry Potter. I mean, I own all the Twilight movies, and all the Harry Potter movies Y CANT WE ALL GET ALONG?????????
I Love both the same. They are both different kind of stories, and I Love both Twilight, and Harry Potter mostly because I Love Fantasy so much. I could never choose. I Love everyone in both stories. I Love Twilight because I Love a good Love story. And I Love Harry Potter because it’s more of a mystery fantasy. And I love both because I feel that both stories could have really happened because they are both set in the normal world. They are both really good stories, and I don’t see way we have to choose. They are both about different tips of fictional characters, in different sitchuations. Why do we have to put them against each other? I think that’s wrong. I Love both and you could never make me choose.Harry Potter will be over soon, and I will be very sad about that, I have grow up with it. But I will still have twilight. Plus both has Robert Pattinson that have a link that way so we should all come together, and not fight!!!! Twilight Forever!!!!!!!!!! Harry Potter Forever!!!!!!!!!!

This is the worst debate I have ever watched. The questions sucked and had nothing to do with the quality of the series, the host was completely biased towards Twilight (you could totally tell), and all the points raised by the 2 sucked.
