It’s Finally here, Breaking Dawn!!

So I know a lot of you probably went to the midnight showing.
I, unfortunately, will not be seeing it till Monday now due to some family obligations I have for the next few days.

According to THR Breaking Dawn earned an estimated $30.3 million in midnight showings, beating out midnight showings of all the other Twilight movies.
Get more info on the midnight showing numbers at THR

As soon as I get back from seeing it Monday I will post a review.
In the meantime I thought I would make this post so all of those who have seen it can talk about it in the comment section.

What you loved, what you hated, what you all thought of the movie overall.

So head on over to the comments to talk about the movie.

Now it sucks we have to wait a whole year for the second part!!! Not Fair!

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

Do not read the comment section of this post if you haven’t watched the movie yet to avoid spoilers!!!

I thought the movie would have had a little more action in it, but over all it was good! I love Jacob imprinting and his expression after he has done it. The Baby is beautiful!

    • Just me... says:

Did anyone else notice that Edward didn’t sparkle at all during their time on the island? It’s not a huge problem for me or anything but still, that’s part of his character. If he did sparkle, let me know, but I really don’t remember him sparkling.

  2. Arianna says:

    NO SPOILERS!!!!

  3. Stacy says:

I love love loved it,,only part I didn’t really care for was the wolf talking to on another….GREAT MOVIE!!!!

  4. Sami says:

My favorite part was the toasts at the wedding, they were so funny. Especially Charlie’s, “I have a gun” and Emmett’s, “Bella I hope you’ve gotten enough sleep the past eighteen years cause you won’t be getting any more.” lol

  5. Jen says:

Loved the movie!! Loved the dress, the imprinting and the entire birth and change scene. Could have done without the weird wolf scene. Lots more humour than I expected.

  6. Natasha says:

I absoultly loved it. Totally brillant in my opinion good stopping point as well though it sucks to have to wait a full year for the 2nd part I agree that the baby was beatiful. I also love how the wolfs talk to each other in their forms and I love how they showed bellas transformation how her body filled out and all scrapes cuts and bites healed and she got paler. Wonderful movie can’t wait for the second part and I am so going to see it again on sunday. :D

  7. Scarlett says:

The wedding was great, honeymoon was great, birth and imprinting were good, the way they showed Bella’s change was good, but all that wolf drama makes me angry. I get that you have to make changes from the book to make the movie work, but really???
    In the book…
The wolves don’t EVER fight with the Cullens, they don’t ‘surround’ their house and keep them from hunting, they don’t attack the Cullens or Jacob. Jacob does not ever lie to wolf pack to trick them, it’s all rediculous. It’s almost like Melissa Rosenberg just didn’t read the middle of the book and just made up whatever she wanted to fill in that part. Having the wolves and the Cullens fighting changes the whole climate of the story and it makes it harder to believe that the wolves will stand up with the Cullens later. I was disapointed :(

    • dee says:

Thank you Thank you Thank you. My thoughts to the T. I think if they would have left all the extra stuff out of the movie, they would of had room the stuff that actually happened in the book. Where were all the blonde jokes, where was the dog bowl ( I was looking forward to Rose saying “you got food in my hair”, where was the talk about bella having “puppies” if she wanted. So much was left out. I think the movie was OK, but I so wanted more. But, then again, I wanted that from each movie. I would so have loved to see the blood typing in Twilight.

      • kxcullen says:

I so agree, once again loads of things from the book where left out and extra stuff put in! I really enjoyed the film although I did cringe at a few of the worse scenes. I was soo disappointed when blood typing wasn’t in the film it was one of my favourite chapters :(

        • julie says:

I agree!!! And two more things to add….. why didn’t the scene where Edward throws Jacob up against the wall(in the trailer) show on the movie? And really wanted to see that part and what it was about. Also, a part from the book that should’ve been in the movie is where Jacob can hear Bella’s heart start beating again just after he imprints on Renesme. People who hadn’t read the books didn’t know that she had came back and was burning on the inside. Alot of people thought that she was still dead for a while.

      • Scarlett says:

I really think they just totally left all the important parts of Jacob’s POV part of the book totally out of the movie. It was disapointing.

    • Karlisa says:

I think the part with the wolves fighting is the part when Jacob said that he already talked to the wolves and told them that he imprinted on Nessi since that part wasnt in the book.

    • Just me... says:

I thought the fight scene was just fine. At the beginning of the 3rd part of the book, all it is is what’s going on in Bella’s mind. The pain from her transformation and all that. So we really don’t know what’s going on outside right that moment. There could have been a small fight with the wolves and the Cullens. And Jacob’s trickery just emphasizes the fact that he has left the pack. They really didn’t have all the time in the world to show time passing by where he was separated from his old pack to show that he really left. They just found a more action packed way of doing so. Also, he was once a brother to every member of that pack. There are still ties between them even if he is no longer a part of the group. He imprinted on Renesmee, what else can they do but to help support him when his life is about to be taken away from him? The fighting doesn’t change anything. I’m sure there were arguments within the pack and with Jacob, we just don’t see that part. But that’s why they help him out in the book and that’s why they will help him out in the movie.

      • myedward says:

I totally agree with you. It drove me NUTS that we never knew what was happening while Bella was transforming… I didn’t mind that scene and extra stuff at all. I just didn’t think Bella would look dead while she was transforming. I pictured clenched fists, lips pressed tightly together…

    • Callie says:

I totally agree with you! There are parts in the movie though where Bella, Edward and/or Jacob are talking where if you read the books and know the lines you know Bill Condon put them in there because Melissa has yet to keep a single orginal line from the book. I read a Bill Condon interview (I am parapharsing here) and he basicly said all he had to do was open the book when a scene stumped him. It’s like FINALLY a directered who wanted to keep the film authentic. Don’t get me wrong I love Rob but I never believed him as Edward until this film. It is ALL about the director and Bill Condor NAILED IT!!!! BRAVO!!!!!! And Kristen playing dead HOLY COW what acting! She didn’t blink or move her eyes an inch! I looked at my husband and was like “I have never seen anyone more convincing as a corpse EVER!” I was totally blown away with this film. They actually acted in this film! And for that I am greatful. I didn’t get the scene at the end with the Volturi. Did the blonde make up the wedding invite/announcement? Because Aro said she spelled Carlisle’s name wrong and something about poor grammer. But in the book Alice sent him a wedding announcement. So I totally didn’t get it. Explain please.

      • julie says:

saw an interview where Kristen says that was actually a dummy of her and how freaked out she was to see it.

        • TIFFANY says:

there r also interviews where bill talks about how well kristen can play dead stating ” she can hold her breath for two min straight!”
some of it was a dummy, some was kristen…beautiful end result in my opinion.

      • TIFFANY says:

it wasnt a wedding announcment, it was a announcment, from carlisle saying bella has finally been tranformed ( y they state hes added another member to his coven), so the the volturi would leave them alone…as we all know, they will find another excuse for attempting to destroy the cullens! can not wait till prt 2!! LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!i didnt mind the changes because the main poinjts till got across as did the emotional aspects, which in someone wlses hands could have easily been lost!!
now on twilight (tho i love the film) there where changes that simply shouldnt have been made!

    • Nad says:

They had to do it in order to make it more visual and give it more impact. I thought it was great. I love Stephenie’s books but I honestly walked out and thought that it would have been great if she took that route.

  8. Leann says:

The movie was AWESOME of course! Actors and Actresses did their parts perfectly! Hit the heartstrings for sure when Jacob was crying and once he imprinted!! I just wished they sticked to the book more, that was the only disappointing part about it. But I undserstand that sometimes movies have to add and switch details due to the short period of time span to show the movie properly. Over all, I consider this movie a success!! :)

  9. Damica says:

I thought the movie was GREAT! The movie was pretty close to the book, so I was happy because this was my favorite book.

  10. tasha cooper says:

i love the movie it was will words can’t till u how much i like this movie the actors made the movie come to life but bill condon the director made it all make sense i crazy about twilight all the movie help me out a lot but breaking dawn is a gr8t movie i love it

  11. Kings says:

Also agree on the wolf fight scene was not necessary and the Jacob tricking his former pack kind of falls out of character… wedding toasts were hilarious. I think Bill Condon did an excellent job with the movie, anf definitely is not cool to wait a whole year for the second part. I always knew they would cut it with Bella’s eyes snapping open after the transformation but seriously leave us hanging like that is not fair at all!!! We should all complain about waiting a year and Summit should release it sooner (wishful thinking never hurt anyone)

  12. BreakingDawnloverr says:

I loved breaking dawn so much. It was the best movie out of all of them. I loved everything about it. Acting was spot on, and everything was so great. It really was so amazing and words cant explain how i love this series so much. It really has changed my life. I love it alot. This story is the best i have ever known. I dont know what my life would be like without The Twilight Saga. I remeber how it started, but when it ends im going to cry and cry and cry forever and im going to need counseling, and therapy! I want to say thanks to Stephanie Meyer for making this story come true. I want to thank everyone who has helped make this movie and the books happen. I truly love this story. Words cant explain what i feel for it. I really love the movies and the books, the story is amazing. THANK YOU EVERYONE! By The Way, I hoped everyone loved Breaking Dawn as much as I did. It was AMAZING.<3333333 Bye Twilight Lovers!

  13. Heather Wingo says:

I thought this was the best twilight so far. Not just because we are coming up on the end, but the way the movie looked and felt. The dialog was so much better than the first three movies and these characters actually looked like they belonged together. Not a big fan of the wolves talking to eachother when Jacob leaves the pack…because they sound like MegaTron from Transformers LOL. Other than that, I thought it was perfect. Yes they left things out. Yes there were a couple of cheesy parts. Yes it was AWESOME!

  14. Clare says:

I too thought it was the best one. Much more natural. Wedding and Honeymoon were perfect. The birth was excellent, well edited and Edward’s heartbreak at the end when he thought is hadn’t worked was wonderfully acted. I even liked the imprinting, for such a stupid thing I thought Jacob’s response was beautiful. I saw it twice and it was much better the second time around. I didn’t mind the wolf voiceover because I think it really showed what it is like in a pack with everyone’s thoughts going all the time, plus the Alpha domination wouldn’t have worked without the wolf thing.

Excellent job on Kristen’s part as well. Very convincing.

  15. Nicole L says:

I love it. I thought the wedding ceremony would be just a little longer in the movie. I thought the whole wolf communication thing was a little weird. I was so sad when it ended, but there really was no other place to leave it. Ive seen it twice so far and will see it one more time with my sister. I wish they had put a little more content into the honeymoon, like where she was eating all the time, the only symptom they really showed was the dream and the “bad” chicken. And personally I like the wedding dream dress better than the actual dress.

  16. Madi says:

I just have to say it was the best movies I have EVER seen. It was almost perfect. Bella’s dream she has at the beginning was spot on and done beautifully. The wedding wasn’t what I pictured in my head when i read the book , but I’m glad it wasn’t because it was better in the movie even though it felt a little rushed through. The honeymoon was everything I hoped for and more! Kristen played her part perfectly. Rob did fantastic, he is the best actor ever, the perfect role for Edward. The birth scene was really good, they did a great job making her look so fragile, pale, and super skinny ( well except her belly wasn’t skinny haha). The way they showed Bella transforming into a vampire was BRILLENT! The way they end it was predictable, but still made me mad because I have to wait another WHOLE year!! I can’t wait that long, I mean come on I had to wait a year and a half already why cant they make it come out sooner. Oh! And Renesmee was absoutly stunning! What a beautiful baby! The movie was just perfect except for the wolves sounding like transformers! Haha! :)

  17. Daphne says:

I am going to have to say that it was a great movie as well.. I love all of them..but The wedding and honeymoon were too short to me and too rushed.. the love scene could of been longer ..The death scene was too long ..the very end of it when they rolled memories of all the movies was amazing and rocked. I loved it ..the only thing I hated ..was the death scene.

  18. Twilightlover15 says:

I really liked Breaking Dawn. I agree with many others that the wolves talking and the fight scene were a little weird, and didn’t particularly like all of the “day dreaming” Bella did and the showing the venom through her body and stuff. But other than those things I loved it! I have seen the other three movies a total of 25 times, and I plan to watch and rewatch this one just as much!!! A big I LOVE YOU to all the actors and actresses who made these movies so great!!!

  19. XxViolet-LillyxX says:

The movie was amazing!!!! They stayed pretty close to the book and the actors and actresses were amazing!! <33

  20. Jule says:

Ive seen this movie twice so far and cant get enough. Def yhe best one yet. Like everyone else tje wolves talking was weird but there was no other wayfor tjem to really show jacob leaving. Everything in this film was briliant I especially loved the last 15 mins showing bellas body changing. I thik next movie will start with bella opening her eye’a then go back to the cup spilling and all that from her perspective. We should start a partition for summitt to release part 2 early!!!!

  21. twilight_lover says:

    i totally love it
i wish that the honeymoon scene was longer cos they cut from it
but overall i freakin love it especially when bella is transforming and they bring the venom spreading inside her it’s like WoW!
i cant believe i actually saw the movie omg i love it :D
    can’t wait for part 2 ;)
    xxxxxxx

  22. Did you guys catch the rest of it after the credits? I barely did!

  23. Ladyy F says:

I didn’t knew there was more AFTER the credits o_O.
Thanx for the tip ‘ladyoflayouts’ :D .
I’m planning to see this movie two or three times more anyway :D :D :D

I didn’t like that part either of the wolves they could’ve just done it with the normal voices hhahha ‘Heather Wingo’ yess they did sound like megatron from transformer hahha !!! other than that i would’nt mind if the movie was longer than two hours because it still seemed they sped up parts. I even had to check if it really was 2 hours!! But overal I liked it especially the funny parts LOL the toasting and revealing the baby names etc. :P

  24. Katrien81 says:

I agree about the wolf thing. It was a bit over the top. But it is essential to the story, so…Loved Charlie and Emmet. The wedding cake!! Can’t wait for the sex jokes in the second movie. Emmet is hilarious! But what was the deal with Edward lashing out at Bella and then walking out the room?
I really loved the score, Carter Burwell did an amazing job.
But do we have to wait a year for the second part? How cruel is that. Hopefully the dvd of BD part 1 will keep us happy till then.

  25. flossiedoss says:

I hyave just read that one of the best bits from the book where Jacob jokes with Rosilie and she makes a metal bowl into a dog bowl and the writes fido and thenjacob throws the bowl at her and she gets upset that some food gets in her hair well that is not in the movie at all.

  26. kmarie says:

I LOVED THE MOVIE! THE BEST OUT OF ALL FOUR…. THE WEDDING WAS PERFECT THE HONEYMOON WAS PERFECT!!!! THE WAY THEY MADE BELLA LOOK SICK WHILE PREGNANT WAS GREAT! AND THE PROCESS OF HER TURNING INTO A VAMPIRE WAS AWESOME AND THE WAY SHE POPPED OPEN HER EYES N THEY WERE RED GAVE ME CHILLS. I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED ABOUT HOW THEY WERE GOING PORTRAY THE WOLVES SPEAKING IN WOLF FORM GIVEN THE FACT THAT THE MAJORITY OF JACOB’S P.O.V. THEY ARE IN WOLF FORM WHEN CONVERSING BUT I’M GLAD THEY STUCK IT IN THERE ESPECIALLY ONCE JACOB’S ALPHA CAME THROUGH, I DIDN’T THINK IT WAS CHEESY AT ALL.
THERE WERE A FEW CLIPS THAT I DIDN’T LIKE VERY MUCH AT ALL, LIKE THAT PART WHEN EDWARD TELLS BELLA THE STORY OF WHEN HE FIRST TASTED HUMAN BLOOD, THAT PART WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT IN BREAKING DAWN![I FORGET WHICH BOOK IT WAS IN AGAIN 0_o] AND THE WHOLE FIGHT WITH THE CULLENS AND THE WOLVES WAS A GOOD FIGHT I’LL ADMIT BUT, I AGREE JACOB WOULD NOT LIE TO HIS OLD PACK LIKE THAT NO MATTER WHAT AND THE PACK WOULD NOT BETRAY JACOB’S WISHES TO STAY AWAY, IT KIND OF THROWS OFF PT2 WHEN THEY BECOME EVEN STRONGER ALLIES.

  27. Laura says:

Overall, the movie was very good. Although I loved Charlie’s and Emmett’s comments at the wedding, could have done without the mom and Jessica’s. Thought the honeymoon scenes where fine for a PG rating-would not have minded an R rating there, though! Was disapponted that the Rosalie/Jacob scenes weren’t there, thought some it of might make it in. Did not like the Wolf/Cullen fight, was not anywhere near true to the book and it put too much animosity between the two sides. I also thought having Edward handle Rosalie during the birth rather than Jacob, didn’t work well and didn’t give Jacob his chance to show his anger/frustration. I would have loved to hear Bella’s internal comments/struggle during the change, would have added so much more than just the internal visual. Loved the imprinting and they ended it exactly where I figured they would. Can’t wait to see it again. Kristen did an AMAZING job!

  28. carrie says:

THE MOVIE WAS GREAT,GOOD LORD BELLA LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS ON HEROIN THERE BEFORE SHE WAS CHANGED GROSS, BUT REALLY GOOD. SHE LOOKED AMAZING ONCE CHANGED. THE WOLFS VOICE OVER THING I DIDN’T LIKE IT WAS DUMB. TO APPLAFIEYED THEY DID NOT SOUND LIKE THEM SELVES AT ALL.IT WAS HARD TO PICK OUT WHO’S VOICE WAS WHO’S. LOVED THE WEDDING ,THE TOASTS WERE GREAT,HONEY MOON WAS GOOD, ROSALIE PROTECTING BELLA WAS GOOD, BUT BETTER IN THE BOOK,ROSE AND JAKE’S BICKERING WAS BETTER IN THE BOOK,LOVED THE FIGHT WITH THE WOLVES,THEN JAKE’S INERACTTION WITH SAM. I CRIED OR SMILED THROUGH THE WHOLE MOVIE.LOVED IT IT WAS GREAT,GOING TO IT AGAIN,LATER FELLOW TWI-HARDS.

  29. serena says:

I saw the movie love it but thought the ending of the movie was a little shocking!
There was some stuff in the book that didn’t make it in the movie that i like.
My fave is the wedding and the honymoon parts!
But i going to go see it again next weekend with my best friend and mom maybe want be so loud!

  30. Emily says:

Breaking Dawn was my favorite book out of the Saga so I was pumped to finally get to the movie. I think overall, it was Amazing, totally Epic just like I thought it would be. I loved the wedding and the reception was hilarious! I don’t know about anyone else but didn’t Emmett kick some total ass in this movie! He was awesome, I can’t wait to see the arm wrestling in Part 2. And for those who are slightly disappointed with the relationship and jokes between Rose and Jacob, they will probably throw in a bit of humor between the two in Part 2. I cried when she said goodbye to Charlie & I teared up with her dance with Jacob. The honeymoon was awesome, I loved how they played chess all the time and he kept her busy, I’m glad they put that in there. I especially lovd at the wedding when Bella is walking down the Isle how they showed Stephanie watching her; like a mother daughter thing ya know, I loved that. The only thing that makes me sad is that they didn’t play ‘A thousand years’ ANYWHERE in the movie, which sucks cause it would have been a beautiful song for Bella to walk down the isle 2. I actually loved the whole wolf pack talking thing; it lets you see from inside there head, there vision and the running; I thought that was pretty awesome. I loved the fighting scene and it was very comical which is always good. Rennesme is a beautiful baby and I loved the flashback’s from all the other movies as the venom is changing her; the birth and the way Bella looked, Rosalie cutting open her stomach and Edward’s performance when he thought his venom wasn’t working…EPIC! They did amazing and now Bella looks Crispier lol haha and I hate that we have to wait an entire year before seeing part 2! Great job guys truly! A die hard fan couldn’t be more happier!

    • ImmortalRoxtar says:

I was listening for a thousand years too! I guess its only on the soundtrack because its palyed in the commercials. Wish they had palyed it in the movie!

      • Emily says:

Right, it would have been a beautiful song for her wedding. But other than that, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, or crying. It was great!

  31. ana says:

like all of you, i’m uber excited that this movie is finally here and anxious for the next one (but then i’ll be sad because it’s the last one LOL)
i love this saga so much, i’m always a little upset that they change things. this time i liked how they changed the wedding cerimony to the outside and also the toasts (hilarious), but other than that i wished they didn’t change anything. why Edward’s confession in the beggining? it’s from the first book, there’s no point now. why the wolf fight? it’s totally changing the story and how they will side with the Cullens in the Volturi battle. why did Edward fight with Bella? that would never ever happen!!! it’s so out of character! in the books Edward stood by her side, he disagreed, he was suffering, but he was keeping it to himself, he would never yell and upset her!
instead of changing what was a perfect story, they should have included more stuff. even the car part in the beggining they could have included and the blonde jokes… if they were going to split it in two, then they have no excuse to take stuff out like that.
but, overall i liked it a lot. i was particularly impressed by the visual effects on Bella, showing her so fragile and skinny, it was amazing. and when Seth was being forced by Sam to obbey i liked it a lot (even if the wolf talking with transformers voices was weird, but i don’t see how it could have been done differently)
i’m from Portugal so i particularly enjoyed hearing Edward with Kaure :) nicely done!!!

    • Lucy says:

i think they’ve forgotton to include edward’s confession in the 1st movie, and it was kindof neccessary cz he and every other vampire expects her to become a thirsty newborn after she’s changed, and they will be surprised that she’s not anything like that (that will be seen in part 2 of course) :)

  32. Lucy says:

saw it a few hours ago… it was AWESOME!! :D my fav so far :)
lots of humor, romance, a little action (which was ok), some scientific and medical scenes.. some gross scenes like when bella drank blood like she was drinking an orange juice :P lol
What really amazed me was how proffational they were in making Bella look so pale sick and so skinny after being pregnant!! and then after she was transformed, she was so beautiful and healthy once again :) it was amazing!

  33. Dylynne says:

The movie was the most AMAZING movie I’ve ever seen!! I loved everything about it!!! I did miss some of the Rose and Jake scenes, especially the “You. Got. Food. In. My. Hair.” part. :) I was bummed about the dream. Bella looked beautiful in the dream, but it strayed too much for the book. I was waiting for the Volturi scene when she sees the little boy on the pile of people. I think that played a key part in the book and the overall story. I wish they would’ve stretched the pregnancy a tad longer though. There were some things in the book I missed. I also kind of wished that Alice and Jake would have a scene where she is talking about the fetus giving her a headache . . . but honestly, the movie was beyond perfect!!! Almost every key point I wanted was in there. Obviously, they can only put so much in there but there were a few things I missed. The birthing scene was perfect. I had to leave, because like Bella, I’m not one for blood, but I think it was perfect. Definitely going to see it AT LEAST one mre time!!!! :D

  34. TW says:

I loved the movie! I also agree that the wolves talking was corny and I didnt particularly like the scenes that showed the venom running through Bella’s body.

  35. Tai says:

This movie gave me everything in which watching just the movies should. I was so proud of how it did go by the books way more than Eclipse. Bill Condon did a fantastic job directing this movie. Him & Chris are awesome!!

  36. ilovealicecullen says:

Breaking Dawn Part 1 was GREAT!! Though my high expectations weren’t met, I still enjoyed it! It had awesome scenes that I was really amazed!! The wedding (with such a beautiful dress, funny toasts, and the reception scene with Jacob), honeymoon (the island was soooo beautiful and it had a super great view into the ocean, the moon that appeared when they were in the water was just absolutely breathtaking and when Bella wore all sorts of lingerie that Alice packed and she made poses out of it, that was funny), birth (the baby was soooo soooo cute!!) , the drinking of the blood (which made me nauseated for a bit but was totally COOL!! hahaha), the imprinting of Jacob to Renesmee (Loved it! though I don’t agree of showing the teenage Renesmee), Alice had great scenes and the transformation scene was also nice (a kind of scene that I never had expected).

All in all the movie was good though the conversation of the wolves was failure and Bella was really ugly when she was having her baby (but the scene when Edward heard his baby’s mind was just oh so touching). Though it had changes from the book of which some made me disappointed but of course I understand, for these help other movie-goers who didn’t read the book understand better the story of the movie.

I hope those who watched it also enjoyed it too. I really can’t wait for the next movie to come. November 16, 2012 watch out!!! :) <3

  37. Jeini Reese says:

I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!!!! It was by far the best of all the movies so far. Not only was the acting GREAT, but it seemed to me the actors and actresses had a more relaxed feeling with their perspective roles. The wedding and honeymoon were absolutely beautiful. The movie as a whole was spectacularly beautiful. Bill Condon, thank you for the amazing job you did making this movie. Did I say it ended exactly where I thought it was going to. I loved it! Rob, was amazing as usual. Kudos to Taylor, and Kristen too.

  38. Esmeralda says:

I Loved the movie 2 parts got me mad, but the same parts that got me mad got me mad in the book, its was a great movie though, can’t wait to see part 2

  39. Emily says:

SPOILER!(kinda) Love the Movie! Better than I thought it would be. The things they can do with computers these days (Bella’s body…). Everything was amazing, the dress, honeymoon, and Taylor’s abs! Cheesy parts with the wolf talking was kinda iffy.. but how else are they supposed to take that from a book and put in in a movie – so all in all it was epic! I loved how Rob could act so much more human in this one other than a vampire… <3 Movie was amazing recommended to everybody!

  40. This was the best movie of the Twilight Saga to date. They just keep getting better. It’s nice seeing the cast members mature through he years and really make their roles better with each film. The movie was tastefully done as well. This is truly a love story. Overall I am very pleased with this film but I would have liked a little more drama in some scenes such as the birth scene. Looking forward to 11/16/2012 for Part 2.

  41. Rafmary says:

I absolutely love it!!!!! I was perfect except for when the wolfs were communicating in their minds because their voices sounded robotic. The wedding and honeymoon was really beautiful, couldn’t have done it any better. As for the whole pregnancy role i can honestly say that i believed every minute of it. It seemed so realistic i was feeling her pain. The birth scene was exactly as described in the book it gave me goosebumps when i saw it. Last but not least Bella’s transformation was stunning really there’s not another word for it and the ending was just like i had imagined it. Really good movie the only thing is that i don’t think i can wait a whole year to see part 2, I’m already dying to see it.

  42. TwihardGal says:

    I loved it. I’m going 2 even see it a 2nd and 3rd time. I’m so proud 2 be a Twihard.

Am I the only one whos totally disappointed from the movie??????
I mean the whole first hour was boring…there were no magic between bella&edward anymore….i mean edward behaved like a normal human…there was no sexy secret Vampire and he didnt sparkle at all!!!Than when bella gets pregnant edward was angry and dismissive to her 10min later he hear the mind of the baby and suddenly he loves bella again and laughed with her…poor acting…at many serious parts everyone laughed in the theater…so far i was really disappointed nothing happend at all…acctually its enough to watch just the trailer…there u can see the whole movie in 3min…dont get me wrong im also a twihard but that movie didnt come up to the expectations…

  44. clare says:

No chemistry are you crazy? There was way more chemistry in this movie. The scene where Bella falls exhausted on the bed and Edward covers her up is one of the sexiest. I am surprised she didn’t catch on fire from the smouldering, and longing look he gives her as he pulls up the sheet.

Also, the death scene where Edward is pleading with her to come back to him is passion and pain personified.

    • Dee says:

I totally agree. I thought the acting was amazing for the first time ever (my husband said “well, they had three movies to practice!”, lol!!!). The look on Bella’s face when she sees Edward at the alter, and when she realizes that she’s pregnant, so beautiful.

  45. quincy says:

Loved the movie!!!!! Only a few little things…did anyone else think they should have made Bella more bruised after the honeymoon scene??? I mean the honeymoon overall was INCREDIBLE but I come home from dance classes like that sometimes, I kind of expected a little more brusing Edward is a vampire after all they went on forever about how strong he is and how careful they would have to be. And maybe we will get more Jacob/Rosalie jokes in Part 2?? Other than that I LOVE LOVE LOVEDDDDDDDD the movie best one yet!!!

    • myedward says:

Agreed. When they showed only TWO TEENY TINY bruises I was pretty annoyed. “That’s it?” I thought. Good grief Edward no need to hold yourself back for two little bruises.
Totally bummed about no blonde jokes. The only thing that got me through the whole jacob part in the book. It really expressed how these two characters are I thought.

  46. twiheart1998 says:

Loved the movie, only some things were missing like WHERE WAS ROSALIE’S MAKESHIFT DOG BOWL. On the other hand, the movie was INCREDIBLE! But some of the parts seemed a little bit rushed i.e. the wedding. Anyways i LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie~ I love u jacob!

  47. Nad says:

I loved everything about it. The story line was changed a bit but I honestly walked out there thinking My Word – This one was actually better than that part of the book.

The whole plot was so diverse that people that have never liked it before would be able to like it now.

Graphics was impeccable. I loved where she changed; where Jacob imprinted. The way her facial expressions changed when she walked down the isle. The loads of humor; the Wolves. You see once Is tart rambling about it I just cant stop. I totally hope that part 2 will be as eventful. That and I hope Stephenie gets her but on a chair and finishes Midnight sun. A play off on Jacob and Renesmee would also complete the story cause she honestly left us with too many questions.

Over all it was great. i sat right at the back of the movie house and looked down at everyone there. people where very verbal on their experience which was a first for me. I loved it. – And I am not even a fricken teen anymore

  48. ImmortalRoxtar says:

I saw in an interview that They actually filmed that scene for part two, but it got cut! I was so upset!

  49. ImmortalRoxtar says:

I personally thought this was the best one yet! From the beginning, loved Alice’s line
    “Where do you want these?”
“On either side of the aisle.”
    “What aisle?”
    “Does no one have vision?”
There were so many great parts! It was a wondeful movie overall! I was so scared when Esme got chased by the wolves! I also loved the scene when she gave Seth leah, and Jake sandwiches! LOL! The transformation was executed wonderfully, and thebirth scene was kind of traumatizing! But I loved every minute of it! And Like everyone else, I loved the toasts at the wedding and I loved the dances at the reception( i.e. Alice and Jasper)And did any one else notice that when Jacob imprinted they showed a bunch of Bella scenes from throughout the series but with Renesmee’s face?

  50. Bellice says:

a couple things some one said no spoilers the link even says there are spoilers plus everyone here is here to talk about the movie… anyways I love the speeches at the wedding Emmett’s was my favorite. Also the honeymoon where Bella like slides into the bed and Edward looks at her and then covers her up- it was sooo funny. I kind of thought the pregnancy was a bit rushed though. What did you guys think about the spacing?

  51. Bellice says:

During the transformation her ribs like popped back out because they were like broken or something, but when I first saw it it looked like her chest just popped out. I was like ” instant boob job”. LOL just a random thought.

  52. Ashley says:

I didnt like the toast at the wedding, the “talking” between the wolves was really corny, they left out the cravings of eggs, I think she should have said it at least once. Other than small details, I LOVED it and cant wait for part 2!!!

  53. Nellzy says:

I so have to get this off my chest. Now I’m a die heart Twlight fan but I have no clue what that movie was. Do not get me wrong the wedding and honey moon was great I finally felt their love evovle. the dress was beautiful for her figure . But there were so many wrong things I thought it was a totally differnt book they were bringing to life on the screen ****PLEASE NOTE I WILL BE ADDING SPOILIERS!*** First was the whole Edward not sparkling thing. Really! He spakled through 3 movies, now he does not anymore? Also I didnt feel the hatered between Rosalie and Jacob. I did not feel a connection between Seth and the Cullens. Seth and Leah was not in wolf form at all. I did not feel like they really wanted to protect the cullens. The whole Wolfe seen when they were talking was pointless and made no sense. The fight scene at the end was horrible because the wolves would never break the treaty that way. Edward never asked Jacob for permission to change her once the birth took place. I didnt feel the anger that Edward should have when he realized Jacob imprinted on Renesme. The spcial effects were so bad. I literally thought they were going back to twilight. That was not a bad movie either but the effects was really chessy and the franchise did not have as much money as they do now to enhance the effects. It was a good movie i thought but it did not live up to my expectations at all.

I am so there with you Nellzy!! What was that??? Did it ever explain why Bella even called Rosalie? What if you didn’t read the book? One person in our group didn’t read the book and she was absolutely lost! We missed seeing some of our favorite parts of the book and some of the things we are used to (like the sparkles). What about Rosalie turning Jacobs dinner into a dog bowl and scratching ‘Fido’ into it? Why not start the movie with Bella in the “armored” car at the gas station? It showed the classic Bella/Edward relationship…her so humanely fragile, him so overbearingly protective. Why take those things out?
There is a group of us that wish very much that Catherine Hardwick directed all of the movies…the characters were so much more beautiful in the tone she filmed in. She created such a absolute raw connection between Bella & Edward, we just think she knew how to bring it out in them. I don’t know about you but Tonya and her sisters looked more like the guys from the movie “White Chicks” than breathtaking beautiful vampires!
It just seemed that a lot of time was spent filing the wedding and honeymoon and the rest Breaking Dawn was just thrown together in editing or something. I mean, it had its good parts, but it just made us sad of what it could have been. And whats worse is..it feels like I got kicked in the gut knowing that the same director has filmed the last one. All my excitement for it just disappeared. I didn’t want it to, but after seeing this one, it just happened without control. I’m so bummed…how can I get that excitement back??

  54. Rani says:

@ Nellzy THANK U!!!!I knew that Im not the only one…!!!!

  55. JTIME says:

I love the wedding scene, honeymoon was exactly what I expected, the birth and imprinting scene were great. I had mixed feeling about the wolves scene when Jacob had to bow to Sam , the voice over was terrible. I was a bit dissappointed about Jacobs scenes. In the book he had more interaction with Rosalie and Leah. He was to fake. The whole about how the Cullens and wolves never fought, well there was a point in the book where Bella was going through her transformation and Jacob was imprinting that we didn’t know what was going on outside. So it made sense to add extra moments. Overall pretty good. What I don’t understand is if the movie was completed (both parts). Why are we waiting another year to see the second part. Why not 6 months? In all the interviews, the last piece to be filmed was the Wedding scene.

  56. Nellzy says:

@ Payton I truly do not think you can get that excitement back. As for the parts with the sisters umm I was pretty bummed about that. Also I thought Tanya was a strawberry blond and Irina was never at the wedding to begin with. Also i dont get when Jake stated to shake and hurt Bella at the wedding why couldnt Emmit and Jasper pop up also. I really didnt feel the angry from him in the movie. They couldnt have him tremble abit? and actually have Seth make a better effort in holding him back. In the book they made it sound like it took Seth and 2 wolves to pull Jake back in the movie he just walked away? And whom ever played Seth and Leah mom didnt even look uncomfortable at the reception. The little tiny details just seemed to much for them to add. As for Catherine Harderwick I dont know if that would be a good idea. Twilight had a childish type tent over it. The movies has evovled and grown very will with the characters. I just feel like this one just took up back to twilight abit, the immaturity that is.

  57. Dean says:

Not everyone will be totaly happy with Breaking Dawn. I, for one, enjoyed it immensely. I never expect Hollywood to completely adhere to the book a movie is based on. Did I notice things missing? Yes. Did I see extra things added? Yes. But I enjoyed the movie for what it was. A continuation of the love story between Edward and Bella and the progression of the saga with all the action a guy like me could look for also. I have read all the books and seen all the movies, to this point, and I feel that Breaking Dawn 1 is the best one to date. And don’t take me for some “starry eyed” youngster. I’m a 55 year old biker, constuction worker who fell into Twilight.

Could someone plese tell me, what the Volturi scene was at the end? After credits. Did not see it…
