Q: Yeah, that is great. Who of your fellow ‘Twilight’ actors would you say you’ve kind of bonded with the most, that you kind of hang out with off set and keep in touch with?
DC: It’s funny, I keep in touch with Charlie a lot because we spent so much time together working. Jamie Campbell Bower and I were hanging a lot down south with Chris Heyerdahl. And some of the new actors too, Noel Fisher and Guri Weinberg, who are two of the new guys who play Stefan and Vladimir, I believe. And yeah, it was just sort of a good little crew. And it’s funny, with Twitter, everyone can kind of keep in touch with each other. And I talk with Chaske Spencer a lot and Alex Meraz. Twitter’s really funny in that way, you can kind of message people all the time and just see how they’re doing [LAUGHTER] through Twitter, which is strange. But it’s been good.

Kristen Stewart Interview

The Daily Telegraph has an interview with Kristen Stewart.

Here is an excerpt:
Often criticised for being unapproachable, or sometimes moody, when snapped by the paparazzi or on the red carpet, Stewart is sanguine about those moments, especially when she weighs them up against the amazing opportunities that have come her way as part of her speedy transition from anonymous to global phenomenon.
“Yes, I feel more comfortable at times now, but it really is about what mood you’re in,” she says. “If the mood strikes and if you’re feeling unselfconscious that day, you can have fun with it. The trouble with the red carpet is that it’s hard to fake it. So, if you’re having an introspective day or not thinking clearly, it comes across. Then people think that’s who you are all the time, but it’s not – that’s just five minutes of my life.”

Cool. So how did you become the chosen one to play Bella’s father in the “Twilight” movies?
(Laughs). Well, the story goes something like this: Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first movie, had seen a little quirky independent film called “Dill Scallion” that I did years ago, a fake documentary about the rise and fall of this country singer. I played this crazy country singer, and it had this underground following. She asked my agent to have me come in, and I actually had no clue what “Twilight” even was. I had no idea what the books were about, obviously, I had never heard of it. So I went in and I read the Charlie Swan role and the Carlisle Cullen role, Peter Facinelli’s role, the father of the vampires. And I was so drawn to Charlie’s role, I just wanted to concentrate on it. After we were done, Catherine said, ‘Go Google “Twilight.”’ So I went home and Googled it and saw that there was this vast, enormous world of fanship out there. Couple of days later, we got a call that Catherine was interested in me for the role. And we never looked back. She said, “You want to do this?” and I said, “Absolutely!” (Laughs). So it sort of came about in the normal way, but there was something magical about it from the get-go.
