This poem was sent in by our reader, Taylor. This is what she had to say about the poem, “I write poetry everyday before I go to bed, and I write the first thing that comes to my mind. I took four of my haikus and added them together to make a twilight saga poem. Each stanza is about each book.”

Enjoy!!!

The Twilight Saga: Poem

Always bloodthirsty.
The secret he must keep away.
Protecting his love.

To much knowledge shared,
turns his truth, to horrible lies.
Breaking his true love.

The bonds grow stronger.
The past becomes an open box.
Petrifying Love.

A life at hard risk.
Bonds two unfriendly forces.
Forever in Love.

One of our readers, McKenzie, sent us these graphics she made for us.
Thanks McKenzie!!

Us For Always

The minute I saw you, I couldn’t breathe.
My heart stopped in my throat, and how weak I became in the knees.
You walked in with your crowd, the wind gently rustling your uncontrollable hair, and it was over when our eyes first met.
We tried so hard to stay away from one another,
but my heart was taken, as well as yours, and I knew you were what was forever.
So many times our eyes would meet, I’d blush deep red, but you’d regretfully look away.
You tried so hard to avoid my eyes, so hard to avoid any contact, but it failed.
One day as I walked past, you gave up your fight and let your guard down, pulled me close and took me in.
As your arms wrapped around me, you smiled down at my pleased face, and I knew… I knew you and I would be for always.

This was sent in by Ashley. Here is what she had to say about the poem, “I wrote the poem for a project in my Language Arts class last year, its inspired by the Twilight Vampires.”

Vampires

Vampires are told as horror tales to haunt your dreams.
Are they killed by wooden nails? This may be how it seems.
Nope. That’s just Hollywood art made by sons & nieces.
But really you must rip them apart & burn the pieces.
They do not burn in the sunlight, Nor do they have long sharp teeth.
They sparkle OH SO bright, But are pale white & ice cold underneath.
Turning into bats surely did not last.
Instead they are thee undead that can run extremely fast.
Stronger than the Hulk Though they need no bulk. Can snap or break,
Surely they are not fake.

Without You

Its dark out here.
Like someone just shut off the lights and my eyes haven’t adjusted yet
I’m blind
I’m lost in the dark
Lost without you
Can’t see whats in front of me
Can’t see what the future holds for me
There’s no hope to ever be brought back into the light again
Not while your gone.
So what’s the point
Why should I move
Why should I get up from this forest floor
I’d rather let the rain fall and soak deep into my bones than leave this spot
I tried to follow you
Stupid I know
With your speed you were a miles away as soon as your lips left my forehead
But I just couldn’t stop
I’d rather be lost in this forest forever than go back to a life without you.
I can’t.
Your words flow through the air above me
Like a harsh winter wind whispering through the leaves
As if I’d never existed
A promise broken as soon as it left your frozen lips
Why am I here then
Why am I on this forest floor
Why does it feel like I’m resting on the bottom of the ocean as water pours into my lungs
Its because you do exist
Because we existed
But now you’ve disappeared
Leaving only empty promises.
I hear their voices
See their flashlights
But I don’t want to be found
Pick me up, take me home, surround me with people
But I’d still feel as if I was in this forest
Searching
For something that can never be found
Something that’s never existed before
Something that can never be duplicated
You.
So let me be
Let me lay here forever
Maybe over time ill become part of forest
Just some object that the trees will grow around
Let me lay
As the waves of pain wash over me
I take my last breath filled with your sweet scent that still lingers on my skin
And this lonely lamb will sink into the darkness
Forever lost without her lion.

Twilight
New Moon Movie and Breaking Dawn

This was sent in by Hayley. Here is what she had to say, “It’s a fan-made partial song for twilight. This is from Jacob’s view of Bella in part 3 of Breaking Dawn.”

Enjoy! I thought it was pretty.

When you’re heart doesn’t want to beat anymore
Remind it that you’re all mine is beating for
If no one sings this song how will they know its for you
If you ever move on know that I’m still somewhere for you
If I sang this song for someone other that you
It wouldn’t come from this heart this heart is nothing without you
So remember this song And we will move along
Remember this heart is yours.

New Moon
”No more reason”

He was my light,
He was my love,
He was my life,
He was my reason.

Darkness draws into my light,
Death takes my life,
Numb replaces love,
The reason disappears with his footsteps.

My reason for breathing,
My reason for my heart,
My reason for living,
My reason for existing.

I hold my breath,
I stop my heartbeats,
I don’t feel alive,
I’m not with reality.

Everything I see and everything I hear,
Will always be him,
Agony crawls to my chest,
And rips into it.

The mark he left on me,
Is a gaping hole,
The pain swelling through my heart,
Is his past feelings.

My hold was not strong enough,
He lets me go by the hand,
Now I’m a lost soul,
My body and heart are gone

Life was beautiful,
He was the reason,
Now he is gone,
And life is utterly disgusting

Every heartbeat I have,
Is a prayer for him
Every tear that falls,
Is a piece of my broken heart

He says he ceases to exist,
I slowly start to believe,
For he is not here with me,

Forbidden to remember,
Terrified to forget.

She drives the car away
She tries to stop her tears
But in the end she knows
There is nothing to calm her fears
She was forbidden to remember
But terrified to forget
Because she knew if she moved on
She’d be full of regret
Yet she found new love
Love in a friend
But her heart was too broken
Too broken to mend
And she knows her new love
Is not strong enough
But yet he stays with her
Because times are tough
Now she must leave
To save her first love
Because the danger he is in
Could mean the end
The end of him
The end of her
She is the only one who can save him
But will she leave the one
Who stayed with her?
Will her first love come back?
Will they both die?
Or will they be together
Forever…

Mirror holding withered, aged face
Hair white and out of place
Love, my love walking towards me in the light
Forever and always alive, I will forever and always age
Todays birthday,
my birthday
How many has he celebrated?
Nightmares of things to come, my future life
Splattered across my mind

Pictures, memories
a photobook of sorts
Candles, roses cover wall to wall
Birthday cake and crystal glass plates
Silver wrapped package laid in my clumsy hands
Could she see what was to come, what is going on,
what will be gone?
Red crimson, cake splattered
Six golden eyes lay upon a
feast of flowing blood

He is leaving, gone
White house with wall of windows forever empty
Piano sits still, music no longer lingers
Bubbly life prancing in the halls, the dance has now ended
A kiss on the forehead,
a promise worth keeping
“Never existed” but will always remember
Life, as I have known it, no longer worth living

The moon sets and
my Sun soon rises

Monster

She was my night, My Sun
My life and my soul
She had my heart and always
Would, to be without her left
Me feeling hallow and empty

There was no reason for me
To continue living, she was
Better off, but I could not
Help but want to be hers
I know I caused her pain and it sickens me

Why do I have to be a monster
And put her in danger, the
Agony was excruciating I
Could not bear to live without her
But she is meant to have a long and happy life

I will not destroy it for my own
Selfishness, how could anyone
Want to be this, why did it have
To be her, and now she will never
Know how much I love her

I will just have to walk this earth alone for eternity

Here is what she said about the poem,
“This is a poem I wrote In Bella’s point of view about Jacob, and a little about Edward.”

I really like it, a lot, so that’s why I posted it. Hope you do too!

Him or the Sun

I was in the dark alone
The pain was unbearable
I had no will to live
A lifeless zombie in the shadows

But I found the Sun
He was bright and beautiful
He brought me out of the shadows
Though the hole in my heart never left

He was my best friend and
I loved him, and he loved
Me back, I didn’t deserve his
Love, for my heart wanted another

But it hurt to think about him
Even hear his name, each hit
Deepened the hole in my heart
He realized how it hurt me to hear his name

He wanted to take the pain away
He wanted me to move on
He wanted me to be his
He wanted to be mine

I wanted to be with him too
But I just couldn’t, if I
Did I might forget who I once
Loved, and I couldn’t take that chance

I was still in the dark, alone
