Here is an excerpt:
Q. Jodelle, tell us about Stephenie Meyer’s new book about your character, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, coming out Saturday.
JODELLE: I had read the book before I started filming “Eclipse” so that I could understand Bree better and what she went through before she came to what she was in Eclipse. … It’s her back story, so you’ll find out about her, but I can’t tell you much.
Q. Is it true you had to read it under really tight security?
JODELLE: I read it and there’s somebody watching me. It’s not that they don’t trust me, but they just want to, you know, take all the precautions they can. … After I read it, we were supposed to get rid of it, and we didn’t really know how to do that. [We] put it in a bucket. We threw a match in and we burnt it, and then we took a video and a picture and we sent it to Stephenie Meyer. It was so funny.

Have you read the TWILIGHT SAGA books before you found out about ECLIPSE?
I think I was just finishing the BREAKING DAWN book when I got called for the Bree audition. I loved the series, it was absolutely fantastic. I’m a total bookworm, and I just can’t put a book down once I start reading it. Especially a good book. So I didn’t get much sleep while I was reading the TWILIGHT series. I can honestly read until 5 o’clock in the morning if I’m really into the book. Probably later, if I wasn’t afraid that I’d fall asleep while eating breakfast.

The Yap: Great, thanks. So how did you get connected with the whole “Twilight” phenomenon?
TH: Well, “New Moon” was the first movie I’ve done, and it was the first audition I’d even ever been to. I remember I got the part, I was looking on the internet for a job on Craigslist, and I found this job that said there was an open casting call, and it didn’t even said for “Twilight,” it just said “a major motion picture,” for a Native American, age 15-25. I thought “I fit that description, so I’ll check it out.” So I went down there, and that’s when I first realized it was for “Twilight,” because there was a lineup from the open casting call like 4 or 5 blocks long, and it was just filled with “Twilight” fans with books and t-shirts and everything, and I thought, “yep, this is probably one of the ”Twilight” films. I didn’t really expect to get anything out of it, but I went and stayed at the audition all day long, and there was only like 5 of us left, and they filmed me at the end of the day doing a scene. The next week they told me I got a callback, and I went and I did the callback, and a week later they called me and said I got the part.

Elle UK has an interview with Kristen Stewart.

Here is an excerpt:
On Twilight: ‘With Twilight, we never thought it was going to be so huge; we never thought we’d do a second, a third. I’m quite nervous about the third one, actually. It’s so such a privilege to be able to play a role for so long. Also, it’s such a product now; it didn’t start out as a product. I read the first book and thought, “Wow, this is a pager turner.” There was something in the script – the energy. It’s raw desire, that’s what that book is. Which is why it’s weird that little kids read it. I’m like, “What are you thinking about when you’re reading it?” I thought that it was going to be a really simple, overly dramatic – which was what was attractive about it – rotten love story. When they cast me it wasn’t like “Omigod, I got this huge movie”; it was like, “OK, I got this film.” You have to rev up to it.
Thanks Ashley!!
