100 Monkeys to provide soundtrack for “Girlfriend”

MTV’s Hollywood Crush caught up with Jackson Rathbone and talked about his band and new movie. The movie is Girlfriend and his band 100 Monkeys will be on the soundtrack and score for the movie.

“You bet,” he revealed with a smile when we caught up with him recently and asked if his band would be on the soundtrack to his soon-to-shoot indie film “Girlfriend.” “100 Monkeys are going to do a lot of composition work as well. One thing all of us are really interested in doing is not just putting our songs in soundtracks, but actually composing soundtracks like Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead did for ‘There Will Be Blood.’ We’re all very much film oriented — three of us are actors, and all of us are composers — we love film, we think it’s an amazing medium. And music and film go so well together.”

One of our Readers at 100 Monkeys Signing
One of our readers, bellaaaaaa, went to a CD signing for 100 Monkeys.
Here is what she had to say about the event:
Today I was lucky enough to get to go to the 100 Monkey’s signing for they’re new CD. I got some pictures from the event but here’s the thing, we get there at 9 in the morning to get our wristbands and the lady is telling us all this stuff about it and then she says, “O and Jackson is in Vancouver about ready to film Eclipse so he can’t be here today but when he was at the TCA, he signed a bunch of posters for us here. All you have to do is buy the CD and you get the signed poster.” So I bought the CD and got the signed photo! 
Then, we came back at 1:45ish for the signing. We had to wait about 45 minutes for them to show up but then, they got there. They were all so nice and said sorry and everything. There wasn’t a lot of people there which was kinda surprising (but they probably all wanted Jackson to be there.) So I go up and one of the guys personalized it for me. They were all so sweet.
