I think Julia is so pretty. I can’t wait to see her play Leah in Eclipse, since she is my favorite character in the entire series, with her brother Seth being a close second!!!!

The work in “Eclipse’’ was far more physical than Jones thought it would be. There were fight scenes – and she was the only woman wolf joining in on the action. She quickly found that she could lean on her wolf friends for support.

Chaske Spencer, who plays Leah’s ex-love Sam in the films, said the feeling was mutual. He speaks of her lovingly and says it was nice to have a woman on the set with the pack. “She’s my girl,’’ he says, laughing. “She’s a tough chick. She can hang with the boys.’’

This Maine-born actress had the difficult job of appearing alongside George Clooney in Up In The Air – and bagged a Golden Globe nomination in the process. She’s also a benefactor in the Twilight stardom storm, playing bratty schoolgirl Jessica in the saga.

Star Quality: A virtual unknown until now, Julia is set for the big time after beating thousands of hopefuls to get the role of werewolf Leah Clearwater in the third Twilight film, Eclipse. She’ll be acting alongside the likes of Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, not that we’re jealous or anything.

As the only female member of the Wolf Pack, she distinguishes herself not with a pink bow on her wolf, but tells us her wolf “is smaller than the other boys and it’s light gray.” She said that the boy wolves are “huge!”

Just like the guy wolves and the vampires, Julia had some tough physical scenes while filming Eclipse. As she filmed her scenes of becoming a werewolf she described jumping up and landing on a mattress for the action. “I realized after 18 takes that I was landing on the ground and I had dirt on my chin. I couldn’t lift my arms for four days!”

LimeLife: Okay Julia Jones, if we could ask you anything about one of your co-stars, it would be this: Does Robert Pattinson speak with an American or a British accent between takes?

Julia Jones: (laughs) Yes, Rob is British, he has a British accent, and he speaks like that when he’s not acting! His [American] accent is so good, actually. Sometimes hearing him speak in his normal British accent, I get a little thrown off, because his American accent is just perfect.

I can’t wait to see Eclipse. Leah is my favorite character in the book, her brother Seth is my second favorite. I think both actors they chose are gonna be great in the movie. I can’t wait to see them. Julia is so cute!!

LimeLife: That’s what we imagined. Did you get the chance to meet Stephenie Meyer at all?

Julia Jones: I’m planning on starting doing it in the beginning of next year. As it is, there’s a bunch of stuff that sort of comes up pretty regularly, starting from the week of the [film's] announcement. But in terms of really putting myself out there and trying to promote the movie I’m in, [it won't be] until a bit before the movie comes out. Which I’m very excited for.

I’m incredibly grateful. My best friends for the most part are my best friends from high school and not one of them is in the entertainment industry and they’re just like, “She got a really good job.” Which is exactly what it should be – it’s a really good job.

LimeLife: We heard that there were open casting calls for Eclipse. How exactly did you score the part of Leah Clearwater?

Julia Jones: The casting director I’ve had a relationship with for a number of years. She actually just called us up and I went in and auditioned for the director David Slade and for her, and came back about a week later and read for some people from Summit and David again and some of the producers. And then I waited for about a month before I heard anything, and you’re right, in that time they were doing huge casting calls and going up to Canada. I think they accepted tapes from anybody so really anyone in the world could put themselves on tape and potentially be seen by the casting people.
