“We spent like five years in the white makeup and contacts and Kristen’s always been like, ‘I can’t wait to do that,’” said Rathbone, 27. “But after about a week of it, it was more like, ‘I’m done with the white makeup and contacts!’”

Noel Fisher Interview

Best movies Ever
has an interview with Noel Fisher. In the interview he talks about Breaking Dawn and the TV mini-series Hatfields & McCoys that premiers Memeorial Day weekend on the History channel. The minis-series looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it!

Below is an excerpt:

BME: You’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the business like Kevin Costner, Aaron Eckhart, Bill Paxton, and Taylor Lautner. Who was the one person that made you the most nervous when you found out you’d be on a project with them?

NF: I’d go with Paxton on that one. I watched a lot of his stuff growing up and was pretty excited to meet him. I remember I was just walking through the hotel lobby in Bucharest when he strolled in. He came over to introduce himself and started to talk about his beard. It’s a good sign when you meet someone and they immediately start talking about how their huge beard makes them look like a homeless dude and that they are getting a lot of strange looks walking around Bucharest. I guess the moral of the story is…Bill Paxton is awesome!

Here is an excerpt:

THE DEADBOLT: What’s it like to step onto the set of such a huge phenomenon?

FISHER: It’s interesting. Everyone’s really friendly and great to work with. That’s the really amazing thing, everyone on this is great. It’s been really fun.

THE DEADBOLT: What’s it like to read the books and get so much imagery in your mind from that experience and then step onto the set?

FISHER: Well, that’s the best part about filming and the different aspects of taking the book and turning it into a movie. All of the different people, from wardrobe to the set designer and having all of these different things come together in something you can touch and feel, it brings it up to a whole different level. I think they did a really good job of interpreting Stephenie Meyer’s books and turning it into something you can watch.

Here is an excerpt:

Your character in Breaking Dawn is an ancient Romanian vampire. What was your approach to the character of Vladimir when you auditioned?
I read the book, re-watched the movies. I watched some other vampire movies and really tried to immerse myself in the Twilight world and this idea of being so ancient. I play a vampire that’s very old.

It seems as though this kind of character would offer a new challenge especially to a young actor, in that you get to play a very, very old soul. Vladimir has been around for centuries and has even ruled the vampire world.

Again, the script was done in a really great way, and Stephenie [Meyer] wrote the characters in a great way so that they are quite different from the rest of the vampires we’ve seen. They come from a much more vicious, kind of ruthless period of time. He’s been a lot of fun to play.

Here is an excerpt:

I know you’re not allowed to say much about Breaking Dawn, but have you shot your scenes yet?

Noel Fisher: “Yes, actually. I’m back in Los Angeles because I have a two week break. We are done with the Louisiana portion – we’re all done with that. The biggest part of my character stuff is done. We have some more stuff; I get to go back home to Vancouver for the first time to work. That will be kind of fun – it’s a nice way to go back home. So, we’re going to go up and shoot a couple more things up there. That’s been a lot of fun. Everyone’s really cool.”
