How easy is it to let all the Twilight stuff go, leaving the cast and knowing it’s all coming to an end — the franchise that made your career?

“It’s different. Whenever we’d finish filming any of the other movies we’d be bummed, but we knew that it was just a matter of a few months before we’d be back filming another one. So, when we wrapped these last two it was tough for us because we’d been playing these characters for so long and spending so much time together for so long. It was a little emotional, but the good news we’ll be able to promote it all together for the next year and a half.”

How was the last day of shooting the final scene of the Twilight films?

“It was emotional for sure, yeah. My last day of shooting I was by myself, and so that was kind of sad, but my second to last day I did a scene with me, Rob (Pattinson) and Kristen (Stewart).”

Question: Music is so important to these films. What’s on your iPod?

Taylor Lautner: This question is so difficult for me. This one actually stresses me out because I am so all over the place with my music taste, it’s ridiculous. It is! I mean, I find myself listening to weird things like hardcore techno music and then I’ll be listening to mainstream hip-hop music. But it’s like I am so crazy with my music taste. I’ll listen to a song, I’ll become obsessed with it, and then I’m on to the next one. So it’s just very inconsistent. (laughs) I love your dog, by the way.

On the encounter with fans that he’ll never forget.

“Kristen and I were doing interviews in a hotel in Brazil and all of a sudden our security barges in and locks the door. We’re like, ‘What’s going on?’ And they said, ‘Remain calm, but about 2,000 girls just broke through the hotel lobby and they’re on their way up the stairs to get to this room.’ Then they went, ‘But it’s OK because we have the National Guard on their way.’ And the National Guard actually did show up and everything was fine.”
